Margate Elementary is an amazing school, with the most incredible faculty and staff. Children are provided with a top-notch education in a true family atmosphere. All are welcomed at this great school!
I love this school!! We are all like family and principal Schroeder is phenomenal!! He knows each child by their name and most of the parents as well!!! I couldn't ask for a better school for my son!! My son is challenged every day and he is pushed to success in just the perfect amount!! His teacher mrs reisner is the best teacher ever we love her teaching skills and I am thrilled that my son has her as a teacher!! Panther pride all the way!!!
I would highly recomend this school to anyone going into elementary school in this area. I love this school! Very warm and welcoming small community feel and Mr. Schroeder is a wonderful principal. The teachers are all great are really care about the students here and allow the children embrace their unique talents. .
My son has attended Margate Elementary since 1st grade (he is now a 4th grader) and I am extremely pleased with the quality of education he has received from the staff. Mr. Schroeder, the principal, is a true example of commitment to education and to the success of the students. It is heartwarming to see him, on a rainy day, come to the front gate and greet students with a smile, and an umbrella. The teachers truly enjoy what they do, and I constantly feel that I am in a partnership with the teachers to help my little one thrive! I highly recommend this school.
My daughter started kindergarten this year and we love it. They have tons of family events and my daughter is doing great. In preschool at a daycare center she was not learning as i would have liked her to but ever since she started at ME she has been learning very well. The staff is awesome and teachers as well. I did hate when they had to reduce the classroom size because my daughter was one of the children that was switched to a new teacher but she seems to be doing great still.
this is the best school wonderful teachers i know many of the staff & lots of kids I'm one of many parents who r very involed with the school. hands up to margate elem.
Margate Elem. School is a great school because the acting principal, Mr. Schroeder is a GREAT Principal! Parents are literally praying that he is assigned to our school!!! We have a greater number of truly caring teachers then any other school I've heard about! Yeah for all the Margate PANTHERS!!!
I feel that any review below 5 stars has not been actively involved in this caring and wonderful school. They are amazing and the saddest day will be when our son move on.
I am so impressed already with this school. My son just started elementary school there and he keeps saying it is awesome. I am in touch with a parent of a kindergartener who attends Atlantic-West Elementary also in Margate and they have been surprised by all that I keep telling them. I love the level of organization and care they have taken with the kids.
Our first kid went to Margate Elementary from 3rd to 5th grade. She did fantastic in all national standardized testing by scoring over the 90th percentile in reading & over the 96th percentile in math. My wife and I currently have two kids at Margate Elementary. These kids, 8 & 9, are both in the gifted program at Margate elementary and score very high in the standardized testing as well. The leadership and teaching staff at Margate are a tremendous asset to our community. We dearly appreciate them for there tireless smiles, cheerfulness, kindness, and patience. The parent cooperation here is very good. I had the privilege of serving on the PTA board this year. I am very impressed with the level of the PTA program here. Here again, we have excellent leadership from a core group of Parents who bring out the best in everyone around them. Thank you!
I believe that this school does not have a strong discipline policy. My child has been repeatedly harassed and administration has not cared or tried to resolve the problem.
My daughter is just starting her 3rd year at Margate Elem & she just luvs it. Started from K & now entering Gr 2. As parents we thought we made a good decision in sending her there & our daughter just luvs it. The teachers are very caring & attentive, and constantly challenges the students. They go on several informative field trips for the year which the children just thoroughly enjoys. When we entered this school it had an A rating & we can see why. Sports & extra activities could be improved but I think that's due to a lack of space on the school compound (school located within a decent neighborhood). But coming from a British style ed. system, where it's been said to be more advance we think Margate has substituted nicely for our daughter's education. Hope we do as well finding one for our 13 yo.
I love this school! Everything about it! I have a 3rd and a 5th grader. They have attended for 2 1/2 school periods. They both love the school. There is alot of parent involvment and alot of social gatherings, bingo is our favorite! I would recommend this school to anyone!
The principal of this school is wonderful. The teachers are very involved in their students' lives. There is amazing community within the school and it is obvious that the students love it there.
the pta is the best their is. classrooms need to be updated---mold mold mold. school has many family related gettogethers that are always a hugh sucess. teachers work together with the parents well only idea to get better would be to communicate by email.
No parent/teacher/school communication. Minimial experienced teaching professionals. High class distruptions and interruptions due to poor behavioral issues.
I had fisrt moved to Pompano Beach and my daughter attended to Palmview elementary. My daughter is the type of child that woke an hour early because she wanted to go to school, however after a month she was complaining and didn't want to go. it was a struggle every morning. I found that the school did not include music or art. I was very disappointed! I search for other schools i heard a lot about. I Moved into the Margate elementary area and my daughter started to be her old self after a week of this new school. I also did my part as i do and joined PTA and found a lot of parents involved. It also has several things that the last school did not have like art and music. Unlike the other school, it was fun, and thats when my daughter learns best!
