The school is seemingly amazing when I first looked at it but almost everything the school shows is just a facade. The moral values of the students is low, the classes don't challenge enough, most "clubs" are nonexistent, and it is very questionable where the tuition money goes. Of the positives in this school though are the how caring some of the teachers are, some of the sports are great (girls soccer and basketball and boys baseball), and how much they prep students for the SAT. Overall though the school was very disappointing to me.
This school has fallen in its religious and moral values and is not the calibur it once was. The favoritism and clinques still exist very strongly and the AP classes do not teach the student how to learn the material and past the tests resulting in a lack of credits for college. The cost of tuition of the school does not in the academic results that a student could recive in a public school.
A school with high expectations, a family-oriented atmosphere, career minded students, and moral values at the core.
The strength and beauty of MCC is the close knit family atmosphere where students are challenged and taught skills to help them succeed later in life. The core belief of MCC is religious education but the atmosphere is of mature responsibility by students as young adults. The students and faculty seem to love the school and everyone feels ownership. If your expecations are high ou couldn't put your son or daughter with a better group of overachievers who work hard and are focused on morals and values. That's not to say that the school has perfect kids but the majority are goal oriented and ethically bound.
MCC's outward appearance is great, but once you get in the system you find out that most of its claims to fame are just for show.
MCC is easily the best high school education a parent can provide for their son/daughter in brevard county. With the Best Sports program and best academic programs in the county, i dont see why a parent would send their child anywhere else. Although the tuition may be around 7,000 financial aid is offered generously, and the school is definitely worth whatever you pay. I encourage any prospective student to atleast visit the school, for one you see, you will realize it is the best school possible. Also, the school will be building a new state of the art fine arts center, a new church and a new gym, along with many new additions to the multimillion dollar sports stadiums.
MCC provides an education which easily soars past that of other public and private high schools. Being a Nationally Recognized Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and having one of the best sports programs in the area, MCC is an all around school of excellence and I would truly reccomend this school for any prospective students
