What a blessing it is to have such a wonderful school for our children. The principal, staff, and teachers are a group that provides a positive, loving environment in which our children are provided a stellar education. If you have ever considered looking into a Catholic school.... This is it!

I am the parent of a child enrolled at Ascension and i love it! Having recently relocated to Melbourne I was concerned about the quality of education my child would receive at the local parish school. As it turns out I had no reason to fear...this school supercedes my expectations! My child's teachers are phenomenal and she has learned so much in such a short period of time. The school administration and staff are warm and welcoming and my little girl is extremely happy here...I am looking forward to her continuing her education at Ascension.

I'm an Ascension mom and our family couldn't be happier with the quality of this amazing and Christ-centered school. The teachers are incredible and LOVE the children and get them excited about learning. Check out our ITBS scores! The programs that are offered for the kids are outstanding, you won't find anything that compares at any school in Brevard county. The athletic programs, the music program and the SOARIN enrichment program are all wonderful. And the families make the school so welcoming! Mr. Workman is a fantastic principal. He is loving and kind toward the kids, but he is fair and consistent with ALL the children and parents. He will not tolerate bullying or disrespect in any form, and that makes the school a safe and happy place for everybody. If you are interested in giving your children a great education in a loving environment, then you should choose Ascension!

My students are currently enrolled in this school and I can't say enough good things about it. The school has a strong acadmenic program and won't tolerate bullying and bad student conduct. I suspect the disgruntled parents below had to remove their students because of this reason. The school also has an excellent sports and terrific music program, as well as a special program for gifted students. You should visit the school and see for yourself!

What a terrible educational experiance for my child. I highly suggest that anyone who truly wants to see their child excel in academics and moral character STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL! This is supposed to be a Catholic School however they show no Catholic values or virtures. So if you are looking for a strong CATHOLIC education as well as loving caring enviroment, then steer clear of this school.

By far, the worst Administration and awful principal!! My children were behind the public school academics.

Ascension used to be a great school to send your children to, but the environment has changed tremendously with the present administration. In all honesty, I could not recommend this school to anyone at this time. There are some excellent and caring teachers at Ascension. It is a shame that the present administration is what it is.

I am also very sad to have to leave this school! The priest is amasing and really cares about your personal relationship with God.Also the people their are very nice and there is a club for everyone.

We have 2 children here and are not happy with the school's performance. Both children have actually forgotten skills because the standards are so low. Much time is wasted on non-academic activities, that is, much more than normal. The quality of the instructors is also poor. One actually said she did not believe in giving out homework. The focus is definitely not 'on academics'.

We have 4 children at the school. We couldn't be happier with the quality of the teachers and administration, the comraderie that comes from such a close community, the pastor who is very supportive of the school, and the focus on academics. The children are generally well-behaved (check out a Wednesday morning Mass) and well-presented in their uniforms. It's a gem, one of the best parts about living on the Space Coast.

I've got 2 kids at Ascension and have been impressed with the dedicated teaching staff. The teachers do take a personal interest in each child. The principal is hard-working, highly visible and is pushing everyone to do their very best. I LOVE that he personally signs a note on every child's report card-each semester-that speaks volumes!! The school is also part of a strong Parish community and the pastor is also highly visible at church and the school-a great partnership!!

This school is extraordinary! The children have very good manners, and the parents are very involved. The education is top notch, and the teachers are very caring and work to help our children succeed. We are very happy with the community atmosphere of the school. Plus, the New principal - this is his second year- is fantastic! He graduated from VMI - which ranks high in our book. He is openly aganist Bullying- and has even had seminars with the parents letting everyone know on campus - it is not tolerated. Ascension provides are kids with a well rounded education, plus a caring community- I can't really ask for anything more than that.

I have three children at Ascension. The school is an excellent environment in many ways. The education is exceptional . The principal and teachers truly appear happy snf excited to teach. They are a very positive influence on the children. The emphasis on Christian teachings and becoming a moral and caring child is inspiring. The facilities are excellent. I would highly recommend the school.

I truly feel that Ascension Catholic School is providing my children with the best education possible in Brevard County. As a product of the Catholic and Public schools in Brevard, I only wish that my parents had the ability to keep my brothers, sisters, and me in Catholic school(s) to finish our education. The parent/teacher involvement is exceptional. I am so pleased every day when I drop my children off for school.

My little sister goes to Ascension, she cries everyday she comes home because the other students are mean to her...We just moved to Florida. Her teacher is fantastic and is helping her to more than her ability. The students here are very rude, I've seen examples myself. Its a shame parents cant teach their children morals and manners towards other students.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
