Florida Virtual School with a babysitter present. Not a bad school, but could really be done at home without the socializing with behavior problems.

I am a senior at this school and I will be graduating this year. I have been a student at this school since the day it first opened. I can tell you that this is an excellent school and I have received an outstanding education. The academic programs used at this school are top-notch and are designed for learners at all levels. This school has two curriculum options. The first is book-based through Accelerated Christian Education and the second is online-based through Alpha Omega Publications. I have done my academic coursework and received my high school credits through both programs. I have always received additional assistance in my subjects if I needed it. All of the instructors at this school are well-qualified and they are preparing us for a vocational or post-secondary education. Christian Preparatory Learning Center meets accreditation standards in the state of Florida and often exceeds Florida Sunshine State Standards. When I receive my high school diploma, I will be proud to say that I am a graduate from this school!

My grandson has been going to this school for 3 years. He looks forward to school every day. He has an IEP and requires help with his reading and math. The teachers at this school are more like tutors and provide individual help to every student. In the past 3 years, my grandson's reading and math have significantly improved. They even provide free after school tutoring to every student.

Students at Christian Prep are given an academic evaluation when they enroll. Their curriculum is assigned based on the results of this evaluation. Students work individually in each subject at a pace best suited to their learning ability. The evaluation exposes weaknesses in every student's education. These "gaps" in their education are first addressed and the student is then allowed to proceed forward in their education, free from t he frustration that these educational gaps were causing.

This school is a joke. High school students are expected to do work out of booklets that my third grader can do with her eyes closed. I took my 10th grader out of there the first day because of how ridiculous the curriculum (if you can call it a curriculum) was and how little ALL the students seemed interested. Talk about a diploma mill!
