This school is great! The principal is the most involved, enthusiastic, inspiring and excellent principal I have ever seen. The staff, from the janitors to security guards, office and all faculty I have the opportunity to interact with, really, really care for the well being of each and every child. It makes me understand one more time, that reform in the education system is sorely needed, since these most dedicated, well prepared and selfless individuals give their all every day forming the minds and souls of the future society and are so underpaid for their tremendous efforts and dedication. Five starts feels so little to give, compared with what everybody in this excellent school provide to each and every child that attends it.
My school is excellent. Great teachers, great staff, great curriculum! The school organizes many educational and family school activities after school. They also keep the kids interested in the school and their heritage. Great overall.
This is our first year as MSES parents and I must say I am loving it and so are our daughters. Faculty and staff are wonderful and they are really there for the children. The principal, Ms. Brenda Swain is never too busy to talk to parents but her priority are her students. She is there to help with student pick up/drop off, picking up trash, directing traffic, etc. The parents are great. Everyone is so nice and I see the camaraderie. This school deserves all of its accolades and then some!!
My daughter is in the kindergarten class and this is her first time of this school . For first month of school year , I saw ALL the school staff are working very hard with love and caring for all the children , that make me as a parent feel safe for let our love one to be there . And also the most important things the education for my child is very well prepare .Thank you for being our fantastic school in our community
School principal is phenomenal, school staff is always friendly and smiling and the curriculum is academically challenging. A school with a gifted track right around the corner - shall I say more?
Hi my son he been in Miami shores sense kinder.from security guards to office staff teacher s afterschool staff and janitorial dept always greed you w a smile always willing to help you.
This is a fantastic school with a very engaged staff. I moved from private to public this past year with some trepidation yet those fears have been unrealized. I am delighted we made the move and my child is thriving in all areas. A true community school.
My daughter is graduating this year (gifted program). In five years there only great and amazing things happened. Teachers are extremely well prepared and proffesional, Principal is amazing and my Dear Cristina at front desk is so sweet and caring! We will miss you so much Cristina! I remember the first day of school in Kindergarten, we were afraid of how our daughter will feel and develop, only 5 days took us to see how much she was learning at this amazing school. All i could say is positive and im writting this so if you have a doubt, just give it a try! Not only academics but the love and caring of staffmis worth they try! coach Marco, (P.E) is by far the best coach ive known! Thank you Mimi Shores Elementary for the bright education and knowladge my daughter accomplished in this 5 years. Scarduelli.
Iam curently going to mses and it is great the teachers are nice iam in the fith grade it is a great school overall.
My five children attended MSE, I would not send them any where else. Now one of my grand kids is also going to MSE, overall the teachers are very smart and intelligent, a pluss yhey do care about the students wellness.
great school, safest in the entire 25 mile area, great teachers and engagement from staff.
This school is really good, the personnel is great and respectful and there are a lot of involved parents on the school. The after school activities are good. I am happy with them and with the activities they have, my five year old is learning sign language. :o)
I was apprehensive to place my son here, at first b/c he was previously in a small sweet little community church school. I was afraid that MSE was too big. However, I did place him there for Kindergarten and my son and I could not be happier. His teacher is amazing (with high standards) and the parents are super-involved. WE plan on staying.
It is a wonderful place for children to get a truly amazing educational experience. And they have the best PTA around!!!
My son has been there for one year. Overall, I find it to be ok, not great. His teacher; however, was fantastic. She made all the difference for us the first year. Unfortunately, I found her to be the only shining star. The school is badly in need of renovation. The current administration is autocratic and needs a big shake up starting at the top. Lots of changes need to be made. Aftercare is dismal. Instructors need training. There are no scheduled activities like soccer or music. The media center is closed immediately after school. It should open for a couple more hours so students and their parents (especially the ones who do not have computers at home) can do extra curricular reading etc. The home work is boring. My son never received a project for the entire year! It is not without hope. We need concerned parents!
Great School - Great Education - Great Location - Great Teachers - Smart Students - Keep up the good work!!!
I'm very happy so far about the quality of education my first child has received. I am a little concerned that her former teacher in the gifted program was basically run out of the education system by overzealous parents and an unsupportive administration. As for my younger daughter who started Kindergarten this year, I'd have to give the school credit for taking steps to put her in a new classroom that would better serve her academic needs. That tells me that their paying attention and I like that.
Miami Shores Elementary is a satisfactory school. It would probably be better if not for the politics that envelop that school; certain people within the administration are unapproachable and intimidating, while others are duplicitous. The system there leave a lot to be desired.
