This school is the worst choice when it comes to picking a school there's a yearly fight every year where all the blacks, Latinos, and whites fight to see who runs the school for the year the teachers are the most disrespectful teachers you can ever have don't get me wrong there is some caring teachers and when it comes to ms roque the SCSI teacher she treats kids like dirt when the parents aren't there but when the parent is present she sits back and calms down I went to this school and this school is the reason why I dropped out I just couldn't learn with all these distractions and I can't respect a teacher that doesn't do there job that's just unrealistic again if your planning to put your son in this school don't even bother and have the school on speed dial your son will come everyday home explaining something new

Miami Springs Middle School is the worst school you can possibly place your child in. The school has gone completely down hill in the past three years. Not only is Miami Springs Middle a D school at the moment, but it is also full of careless teachers. Not to mention the school is extremely filthy, especially the bathrooms. MSMS has also eliminated many of the electives they had before. Kids are now forced to choose from electives they don't want. I believe the least they can do is give students a class they enjoy after a long day. The staff is rude and careless, not to mention they are disrespectful. Students are constantly getting into fights and the administration does nothing to effectively stop it. There is also a lot of drugs and inappropriate PDA between students. Do yourself and your child a huge favor and stay as far away from this school as possible.

This school is full of immature kids. These kids don't mind their business. They have a new rumor everyday. Some teachers are good at their work but some don't even teach at all. This school is full of people who do drugs, sex, or just run their mouth all day about someone else. I don't think your child will find real friends here because everyone seems to turn their back on each other in this school. Some teachers are truly amazing , they'll treat your child like their own.

Miami Springs Middle School has come a very long way. We are lucky in Miami Springs to have such a wonderful school, great teachers, amazing staff and administrators. From the cafeteria staff, security guards all the way up to the Principal, are professional and very nice. Years ago this school had problems, however now it has grow in everyway. The number of electives, sports and clubs out does any school in Miami Dade County. The PTSA has been an amazing part of the school, in providing assistance and a friendly face to help with the transition from elementary. Great job by the administration and staff for making this one of the best schools around.

Miami springs middle is a really great school to attend. Even though in the past it had bad discipline and bad administration it's gotten way better. They have been more stricter about everything . The kid are mature and the teachers work hard for the students to get good grades. They teach very good and help the kids. The security is also good around the school. They clubs are great for the kids . I highly recommend this school it's very good

Miami Springs Middle School is a gem in the community. The school offers many advanced and honors placement programs for students of all intellectual ranges. The Science, Engineering & Technology Magnet provides hands-on opportunities to integrate students' love of science into many subject areas. The incredible variety of elective choices is one that few middle schools offer. In fact, it is the only middle school in Miami-Dade County that offers all middle school sports throughout the school year. A large number of staff and teachers reside in the community and their own children attend the school. That alone is a testament to the high educational standards provided at Miami Springs Middle School.

This is a terrible school. Its too overcrowded. Teachers dont care about the students. They dont take bullying seriously. My daughter was bullied there to the point were she got mentally ill, and the worst part is that they baker acted her, which was easier for them to that than to find the bully and put an end to it. Staff at the administrative office washed their hands and didnt admit they handled the case wrongly. Worst school in Dade County

I totally agree, the new principal Dr. Mason is really doing a great job with Miami Springs Middle School. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experties to the table, because of this both students and staff are receiving 'A-1' service. She is informative, fair, understanding and truly care for her students. We are blessed to have her on our team.

This is a great school in the making. The new principal together with the overall excellent and caring teachers will soon push it to the top both academically and socially. Both my children attend and they are doing very well. My bit of advice to other parents...make sure your child(ren) does not roam the halls on their off-times (before or after school) as this is where trouble lurks! But most of all, be involved both in school and out!

Finally this school has a Principal that is cleaning it up. Dr. Quigley ignored the problems for years. Unfortunately she left such a mess it will take a while to get the school in shape again. The new Principal is enforcing dicipline which has not been done in years. Finally a change for the better in Miami Springs!

This school is not the best nor the worst. I've had my moments in this school. As disipline goes, no, not good. If you are looking for your child to become a respectful individual and become intellegent I ask you see other schools. This school has always ignored every complaint a student, teacher, or parent has filed. When I went there I was harshed, hurt, ridiculed and robbed in this school by fellow students AND teachers infront of officals and most of them turned their heads to avoid paper work. But this school does have some of the best teachers I have ever had. As for security..... they do not secure the safety of the students, the befriend the students. Your child does not need that. If you allow your child to go there be adviced what could happen and prey they get teachers that will help devolpe their mind.

Very bad school. My son just started this year and the discipline in this school is horrible. Next year i'm going to change him to another school. A lot of bad influences. Not good security, too many kids in this school.

Unfortunately this year in particular administration is more interested in keeping suspension rates down so they look good on the schools report card to the superintendent. The students who are doing the right thing are being penalized for those who are not. There is a total denial that there is any problems.

Miami Springs Middle School is a great school.I just graduated this year from 8th grade so I'm moving on to High School. The teachers are great, but the students take too much advantage of them and then they become stressed. But if you just do it once or twice they won't mind. They really appreciatte good students and recognize them byt giving them awards also they encourage the alright students to keep trying and to never give up and they also recognize them.I spent the best years of my life at MSMS, and I will miss it a lot. P.S:They have a lot of sports to get involved into. And we also have clubs. We're the 2006/2007 Miami-Dade Geography Bee winners and we got 2nd place on the Miami-Dade History Bee.I can only say good things about MSMS.

Not good. A few good teachers, but many bad and ineffective teachers. Discipline is a problem. Administration does not want to hear your complaint.

I used to go to this school, and I have to admit I was not impressed. The lack of discipline and the immaturity of most students is quite possibly the worst experience for your children. I do not recommend you send your child to the worst learning environment in all of Dade-County public schools. The teachers and staff are quite good at their job, but barely noticeable of growing problems around them. Overall, an okay 'A' school, but the majority of the students ruin it, therefore I do not recommend it.

Very Impressed with the quality of education. I had my doubts when I enrolled my 7th grader. He is showing me HOW WRONG I WAS. He is happier here than he was in the last school. He loves his teachers and the classes he's been assigned. He thinks that this year he'll actually learn Spanish. Great Teacher!! Excellent music program. The Teachers, Administrators, and Staff are wonderful and very helpful. I and my son are very happy and looking forward to a great year at Miami Springs Middle

Excellent dedicated teachers.Hands on administrators. Offers after school programs, tutoring, sports, and other extra-curricular activities.

I attend this school and am in the gifted program in sixth grade. I am unhappy there and a lot of the children in my classes are not really gifted material. I read at a college level, and go to school early to go to the library. Towards the middle of the year I received a id card that would allow me to check out books. I lost mine and the school has not replaced it or allowed my to check out any more books. I take orchestra at this school and am an advanced cellist. My teacher, although knowing I take private lessons has made no attempt to put me in her advanced orchestra. I have not signed up in the class for next year. This school is not that great. To rate the school, thumbs down.

I would like to say that if there is any way possible not to enroll you're child here, do so! My son who is in ese classes, who needs speech therapy, was tested twice and I was told was fine acording to there ratings....now I'm having him tested privatly, lets see what excuse they'll have next....Last year was a disaster, 7th grade, failing grades, barely reading 3rd grade level, I stated that I did not want him to pass...sure enough, 4 out of 5 teachers overwrote his grade (so the school would'nt look bad) and passed him to 8th, when i went to hold him back, they simply stated they could'nt, I see myself heading towards Tallahassee. If you are trully concerned with you're childs future, stay away from this school, they are out for themselves and not the future of our kids

It's an ok school. But, it needs more discipline against violence. My daughter attends and she tells me there are fights daily. That I don't support.

I attended this school not too long ago. It has to be the worse school I been to. The teachers are nice, but dont teach. I believe kids get good grades by just having a good conduct.T he safety of the students from other students is not there at all. Over all the school is bad.
