Very upset with this school. Everyone in the office is so unprofessional including the director, this lady is not really involved with the parents and it seems like she would rather be somewhere else.

This school has totally changed. It is in total transition and the wrong people are in charge making decisions they have no business making. The director left in 2012, the pastor left in 2013 and now the assistant director is gone with only 20 days left of school. Who is next, probably the good teachers??? No communication,no one knows what'd going on except an increase in tuition......

My daughter attended this school for four years. It was an wonderful safe and happy environment. it is everything a community elementary school should be. They have music, art, and performances plus daily recess. The academics are average and meant for the average learner. But, students that need accelerated materials are often allowed to work on their own with higher level curriculum. What sells this school is the nurturing staff and excellent parent teacher communication.

My children attend MSPC and I love it. The staff is professional, kind, and caring. The teachers actively engage the children and make learning fun. The administration always looks out for the children and what is best for them. This school is a hidden gem in Miami Shores. I highly recommend MSPC School.

A great disappointment!! Not at all open to any critique. A school where the certain staff hold the reigns, and will not allow for anyone to challenge their way. Unfortunately there are many reasons, from liability questions to operating questions, that should be a warning to any parent. There are better and ample options out there....

I have two daughters that went to Miami Shores Presbyterian Church School. My oldest child graduated 5th. grade 2 years ago, and my youngest just graduated this year 2010 from this school. The three of us had a wonderful experience at the school. The administration and teachers always listened to myself and my child. The teachers even gave extra help if the kids needed it. The school gave my daughters a great start to their education. I would reccomend this school highly, and anyone who tells you different is wrong.

MSCPS is a great place to send your children, whether they are eighteen months old up to fifth grade. The class sizes are small and they are up to date with their curriculum and lots of technology. I'm more than happy - actually more sad to see my children leave after fifth grade.

My daughter has been going there for 7 years now and she loves it. She always talks about how nice her teacher is to her and her class. What i love the most is they provide an after shcool care that involes baking, recess, movies, and games. The teachers take there work very seriously my daughter is telling me things everyday. Its wonderful i know she is learning so much.

This is far from a DAY CARE! I pulled my daughter out of 5 different 'schools' including Montessori before finding MSPC. My daughter has been attending 5 years now. I am completely happy! Her Kindergarden teacher last year (Mrs. Obenour) was AMAZING! She gave her whole heart to my child. Mrs Obenour even gave her free time after school at no cost to help my child with reading! You will find a teacher like her NO WHERE! I feel like MSPC is a FAMILY so much more than a school! I love to go in the morning and see happy friendly faces!

The teachers are excellent they are extremely dedicated and you can tell they enjoy there job. The Director is always available to talk to parents, listen to their concerns and respond appropriatley. This school has such a wonderful enviroment you know you are leaving your children in a loving, caring environment.

We are thrilled with the education that our 3 year old is receiving at Miami Shores Presbyterian Church preschool. Her teachers, Miss Kathy and Miss Annette, are exceptional, incredibly creative and have instilled a joy of learning in our daughter. She is excited to go to school and enjoys sharing her day and what she has learned with us when she comes home. The art projects are not only creative, but often mirror one of the books they have read, including many of the Eric Carle books. Our six year old son also had Miss Kathy when he was three, and is a 'graduate' of the preschool. He received a wonderful foundation at the preschool. Our experience has been very positive and we would highly recommend that other parents looking for a quality academic program look at this school.

My children have been at this school for over 7 years. It is a great school. I have always felt welcome by all the staff. There has always been an open door policy with all of my children's teachers and especially the director/principle. My one daughter even calls her teacher every night, to say goodnight, and the teacher welcomes it. Go look and tour this amazing school-it is far from a daycare. I couldn't be happier, and will cry when my children graduate from 5th. grade, and have to go somewhere else. It is a privledge and honor to send my children to Miami Shores Presbyterian Chuch School. All aspects of this school are great.

As an educator I agree with the the comment that this school is a daycare not a school. I was extremely disappointed and although I tried to express my concern it was not taken seriously at all. I would recommend to other parents to read these reviews and then go into the school with a list of questions for the Principal of the school as well as the teachers. Do not be afraid to ask questions. A good school, and a good principal will welcome them and have professional answers that they can prove with a simple tour of the school. Do not accept generalizations as answers you should be discussing the specific needs of your child and if you are made to feel like you are picky or annoying then that's an excellent sign of what to expect when a problem comes up. This school, two thumbs down!

My child attended this school for one year and it was a huge disappointment. the curriculum was unchallenging and there was a general sence of disorganization.

I have two children in the school. I've been completely happy these past 4 years. My children excel in such a great caring environment. With the small classroom sizes, it's very hands on with the teachers and students.

This is a daycare not a school! I would not recommend this school at all.
