I enrolled my 22 month old son at Coconut Grove Montessori because I believe in the Montssori style of teaching. I must say I am very happy with his teacher Ms. Claudia and her two assistants. My son has adjusted well and after two weeks he doesn't want to leave when I go and pick him up. He is learning the alphabet, colors, every day life skills and Spanish. He is very happy and curious. I love that the toddler house has cameras so I can see him interact with his teacher and other students. My only complain so far is in the general administration. I had to call to confirm 1:1 appointment with his teacher that was promised when enrolled 2 days before he started school. I also did not get the gate code or camera link until after his first day of school and only because I called to ask for it. So I give the education program an A but a low C for school administration.

My daughter began reading, enjoyed gardening and was learning Mandarin. The important thing was that she felt loved. She was becoming an independent and curious learner. Unfortunately, we moved out of state. but I still recommend them to all in Miami.

Coconut Grove Montessori was highly recommended when I was looking for a day care for my 2 year old son. Our first teacher was Ms. Claudia followed by Ms. Johanne. Both teachers are extremely loving and caring and my son rapidly adjusted to the school and has been quickly learning the alphabet, poetry, geography, Spanish and art. It's quite amazing to see the Montessori educational approach effectively working in a fun environment where kids are motivated to explore and learn with emphasis on independence and respecting each individual child's natural development and growth. My son is curious, respectful, social and absolutely loves to go to school every day to see his teachers and friends. I highly recommend CGMS - a loving, safe and stimulating environment.

The quality of the education my son is receiving at this school is EXCELLENT! At the age of 4 he is reading and loves going to school. I have only great things to say about the teachers, they are warm, professional, and caring.

CGMS is an amazing school. My daughter has been there since she was 14 months; and my son just began the school in January. He is now 19 months. I had my son in another daycare prior to placing him at CGMS and have noticed such a remarkable difference in his development in less than 2 months. He is saying more words, knows some of his colors and just has a different character. I am so happy with this school. I don't understand why this school received a bad review, as I am probably one of the parents with the least income of all and the teachers treat me and my children very well. They adore my kids and I love that I feel safe when my children are at school. It is a very loving environment; and know that they strive to make the school the complete Montessori experience.

This school is not what it seems. The teachers do not treat all children equally. Only those parents who voice problems and constantly complain are able to get any attention from the staff. Some of the teachers are very nice, but in general very clique like attitude. The school is not really a true montessori in many aspects as well. I would suggest to do your research and if you can go elsewhere.

Incredible school. The early reading program is outstanding and unheard of. My daughter has been reading since the sgr of 3. At 3, the kids get homework that invoilves writting, reading and reading comprehension. The academics in this school are really impressive. The curriculum includes a choice of French or Mandarin, yoga. The 3 year olds have show and tell and poetry recitals. They offer many extra curricular activities all great! Can't thank them enough!

I really appreciate the attentiveness of the teachers in this school. My daughter went to another school over the summer just to try it and was so happy to be able to come back to Coconut Grove Montessori. The classes and extra events are so well coordinated. Really child centered approach is terrific. She is learning so quickly.
