CGMS is an amazing school. My daughter has been there since she was 14 months; and my son just began the school in January. He is now 19 months. I had my son in another daycare prior to placing him at CGMS and have noticed such a remarkable difference in his development in less than 2 months. He is saying more words, knows some of his colors and just has a different character. I am so happy with this school. I don't understand why this school received a bad review, as I am probably one of the parents with the least income of all and the teachers treat me and my children very well. They adore my kids and I love that I feel safe when my children are at school. It is a very loving environment; and know that they strive to make the school the complete Montessori experience.

This school is not what it seems. The teachers do not treat all children equally. Only those parents who voice problems and constantly complain are able to get any attention from the staff. Some of the teachers are very nice, but in general very clique like attitude. The school is not really a true montessori in many aspects as well. I would suggest to do your research and if you can go elsewhere.

Incredible school. The early reading program is outstanding and unheard of. My daughter has been reading since the sgr of 3. At 3, the kids get homework that invoilves writting, reading and reading comprehension. The academics in this school are really impressive. The curriculum includes a choice of French or Mandarin, yoga. The 3 year olds have show and tell and poetry recitals. They offer many extra curricular activities all great! Can't thank them enough!

I really appreciate the attentiveness of the teachers in this school. My daughter went to another school over the summer just to try it and was so happy to be able to come back to Coconut Grove Montessori. The classes and extra events are so well coordinated. Really child centered approach is terrific. She is learning so quickly.

Both my daughters attend this school. I have nothing but good things to say about it!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
