The teachers and administrators are very loving! But, that cannot make up for there lack of follow through. changing of teachers without notification. My son is very shy and I had spent months working with his teacher to help him feel comfortable. We return from Christmas break and she is gone He also loved the assistant teacher and she was replaced without notice as well. When the new teacher(s) started they also stopped writing in their composition books My Son has not traced a letter in six months. I believe they are a little too relaxed. Also my children are constantly sick I do not believe it is as clean as it needs to be. My son has been going for almost 9 months and still cries when I tell him we have school. I feel that is a money driven effort.

I was offered an incredible method and presented with an interesting activity calendar. But the reality was that my son's class changed teachers two times, creating such an unstable environment for little kids that are being introduced to school. They where left with only one teacher and each time I walked into the class a couple of kids would be working with the teacher and the rest would be running or jumping all around, nothing like the method they explained to me. The people are very nice but they are not prepared for the task they set for themselves. From the comments of other parents in the class, everybody was really disappointed, and everybody considered that the teachers needed more preparation, they talk very nicely, but the processes and methods are a mess and the results really poor. The school calendar was never be followed, they would change dates one or twice for events, they will change or cancel events, even the class projects would change unexpectedly so it makes you wonder what can of program are they following or if they even had a real one. It is sad that such a good idea is so poorly preformed. We changed school a couple months ago and we are so happy.

After much searching we finally found the right place for our son, in just 4 months he has made progress far beyond our expectations. The small class settings allow one on one time & the teachers are top notch!!

La Scuola is an OUTSTANDING private school. The hidden gem of Miami!! They give children the tools to succeed in academics and in life. The teachers are absolutely outstanding and the administration is always attentive and helpful! The confidence and passion you see in the students is AMAZING! I Love the integrated learning approach and the fact that they use Conscious Discipline, which is what we practice at home. The school has a very strong sense of community and commitment to the happiness and success of the student and the families that are part of the school. My son started when he was 14 months and is now in their PK3 class and I couldn t be any happier. If you are looking for quality and for something different for your child, this is the school for you! My husband and I toured at least 19 schools and none of them compared to what La Scuola offers. This has been one of the best decisions that we have ever made for our little one!

My daughter just completed another wonderful year at La Scuola. Although we live far, the drive has been completely worth it! My daughter just turned 4 and is already reading sight words! She and her classmates have continued to amaze me through the projects they do. As a working parent I also really appreciate the strong parent teacher communication. This is a lovely school! We are really excited that our little girl will be able to continue to grow as she enters their elementary program. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this school. They have a really strong academic program and wonderful teachers!

La Scuola is an excellent school! My son attended the toddler class - kindergarten there and he loved the school. He is currently reading on a second grade level and is entering first grade in the public school system. His math skills are way beyond his years. I am so thankful that his teacher cared enough to create additional work assignments for him so that he could advance and continue to feel challanged. The school administration was as equally supportive as my son missed the Sept. 1st deadline by several days. Rather than holding him back one full year, they supported us in passing him to the next level. I believe that decision is what made such a difference in our son's life! We are happy to say that we just enrolled our younger daughter in the school's PreK3 program. We wouldn't enroll her anywhere else after our wonderful previous experience!

La Scuola is an AMAZING school! The Director is a special person who has a heart of Gold. She works extremely hard, to provide the community with the best quality for children, as well as for her staff. She's dedicated and determined in all she accomplishes. I'm extremely pleased to be part of the La Scuola family!

La Scuola is a growing and learning wonderland. My daughter wakes up EVERY morning bursting with eagerness for school to begin, and has each day since it began. She is respected there, and encouraged to think and explore and communicate in ways I did not know were possible for someone her age and that is a testament to the school's philosophy, director and dedicated teaching staff. The teachers and Director alike are available and eager to discuss any issue or development that parents raise. You can set up formal meetings any time you feel necessary, or simply take some time at drop-off or pick up to talk to the teachers or the Director. I have never felt that any ideas I might have were not worth considering.

La Scuola is definitely unique and has a completely different curriculum which gives students the chance to learn in different ways. The academics are strong, authentic and meaningful! The kids are ALWAYS involved in real projects in which research, writing, math and science skills are all applied. The students also have the opportunity to go on many fieldtrips as part of their curriculum which calls for a lot of research and exploration so that students are able to better understand what they are learning. The feeling of community at La Scuola is evident from the moment one walks through the doors. Ms. Barbie is great and very down to earth, unlike many of the directors I encountered when touring schools. The teachers are not only certified but they are extremely sweet and caring! I couldn t ask for a better school!

We enrolled our daughter for the summer to see if she would like the school and we are so thrilled with her teachers and how much she loves to go that we have signed her up for the upcoming school year. The administration has been wonderful and they have made my daughter's transition into the school a very smooth one. The teachers are so wonderful and dedicated. You can really tell that they love what they are doing. This school knows what they are doing and it shows! The children are so happy and you see them thriving daily! Even the little ones do spectacular activities! I am in LOVE!

I love the small school atmosphere and everyone knows everyone. I feel my children are receiving a great education in a very friendly atmosphere. I toured over 15 schools while searching for preschools and none of them compare to what La Scuola offers. As a parent I love the fact that the principal is so involved with the students and with my child s education rather than just sitting behind a desk. I absolutely love this school and am looking forward to another wonderful school year.

I have had my twins at La Scuola since they were a little over 15 months, and I couldn t be happier with the school! Their teachers are wonderful and the administration is great, very friendly and involved with all the parents and in all the activities that take place in the school. Academically the school is very strong. The school s environment is intentionally different. It looks more like a home, rather than some colorful preschool. My twins have been blessed to have had the same teachers for the past 3 years. The school environment is very clean and I ve never had any problems with administration. From a parent who has been at this school for the past 3 years, I highly recommend it. They just finished another wonderful school year and we re looking forward to continuing their education in this wonderful school!

My child attended La Scuola from the time he was 3 years old until second grade. Unfortunately we had to relocate this year to a different state and were very sad to leave behind this wonderful school. It's a great little school that emphasizes respect and collaboration among peers and instills a true love of learning. The focus is on learning as a process, not rote nor competitive learning. Children become thinkers and problem-solvers. Classes are small and always stay together, even with the same teachers. I give La Scuola a great deal of credit for my kid's social skills, character, and love of learning. This is an AMAZING little school with an AMAZING staff and administration!

We attended La Scuola for one year. The staff is loving and knowledgable - the main detriment is the lack of communication stemming from administration. There is no PTA, so no formal venue for parents to work to help the school. There is only one principal who tries to do all of the work herself; this causes a breakdown in some of the functionality. Field trips are cancelled with 24 hours notice, accounting is poorly looked after...even teachers aren't sure how to answer questions due to lack of communication to the faculty. We have made some great friends...who are also leaving the school to find educational institutions that are run well, with a solid curricular plan and a collegial staff.

My child attended this school for one school year and I will not keep them there any longer. I did not transfer my child out because the teacher's are great and I don't want my child to feel a drastic change or detachment from teacher's and friends. The school promises many things and does not follow through. The bathroom the children use is falling apart, the stairs are filthy and not to mention the classrooms upstairs are deteriorating. The school in general is a health hazard. The faculty I know is great, they just need to shape up the environment to not lose much more.

My daughter began attending La Scuola when she was 2 and she is now part of their elementary program. I feel blessed with the education that has been provided to her! She began reading at age 4 and began multiplying towards the end of first grade! Unlike many other private schools or public schools the elementary classes at La Scuola are kept small with 2 teachers. My daughter s class only has 13 students and 2 wonderful teachers! What more can you ask for! This year the school started using a Parent Portal that lets me see all the pictures taken daily and lets me read all about their day. This is in addition to their wonderful communication notebooks that go home daily. I am super happy to know that my daughter is receiving exceptional education and is growing up with a love for learning and a high respect for the world!
