Im very disasppointed with this school. The kids are not challenged enough and the principle can care less for the overachievers. They spend more time planning and executing mindless events then they do preparing our kids to be at the top of the class. it also concens me that when I pick up my child from the after school program kids are roaming the hallways unattended. Needless to saythe principle needs to step up and prepare our kids to be leaders. recognize talented kids and introduce programs to standout. cut back on the custom parties and implement more activities to challenge their minds. are s are roamingthe wallsways
The teachers and staff are in touch with every aspect of the students' progress. The communication between the school and the parents is excellent. Strong curriculum and very knowledgeable teachers..LOVE IT!!
So pleased with the changes in teachers this year! The principal has done a great job in maintaining the best teachers year after year as well as hiring new teachers. I greatly appreciate the principal's continuous involvement in addressing and taking action to support our children's educational needs. Looking forward to yet another great year with Bridgeprep South campus.
My child has been going to Bridgepoint South since it first opened its doors. They have had great teachers however, many of those great teachers have left due to the Principal and/or management issues. Even though my child has been happy in this school and as a parents I love the fact that it is a small school and everyone is very acquainted with each other, I believe there is some major issues with the Principal and/or management too. They need a new Principal who understands every child's needs and who is more "updated" with today's education. One who is not manipulated by management and/or afraid to stand up when he/she has a strong opinion on what needs to be done in order for the school to succeed. I am very doubtful that my child will continue to attend this school if changes are not made within the next school year.
Great school, teachers are very educated and well organized. I've had my child in this school since he was in Kinder and he is doing extremely good. He learns something new everyday and seems to enjoy learning. Parking is way better than what I've heard at other schools. I would definately recommend this school to anyone and everyone.
My child's love for his school is a true reflection of the dedication that all Bridgepoint teachers and staff have. The small school approach is so wonderful. Everyone knows each other and there is a true sense of community. The academics are very challenging and seem to always be of great importance to the school. Overall, I can sincerely say that the school has exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend this school.
Pleased with the school! The teachers and staff are wonderful. We could not be happier with the great education our son is receiving And we are pleased with the learning enviroment our son is surrounded with. The principal shows excellent leadership and takes great pride in her school!
Bridgepoint downtown. My child is happy in the school, he makes friends easy and absorbs everything he is taught. However, I agree with another parent, the main office seems overwhelmed and unorganized, they are not very receptive to parents concerns or requests. The aftercare program is the MOST UNORGANIZED, the staff is nice and friendly but lacks structure and/or experience. They don't really track who sings the pick up sheet and anyone could potentially take off with any kid; they also can't keep up with children's behavior, they report a problem but can't tell exactly what happened or who did what. If parental involvement is really strong, they should work with the parents in addressing some of these issues.
Good school, strong academics so far. My child is very adaptable but yes, she loves going to school and transferred from a private school. Too bad the Village Green school lost Mrs Bosque this year, she was an outstanding principal and is sorely missed.
My children have attended this school since it opened its doors 3 years ago. As stated in the other reviews, the school does have a small, private school feel with lots of opportunities for parent involvement. the administration is very caring and knows all the families by name. But the school is lacking in several areas. The "money hungry" side of it being a charter school is showing each year as all of the older more experienced teachers are let go and fresh out of college teachers take their place. This is a major concern because aside from the Principal, all the other educators have barely had 3 years of educational experience. Also, all grades have 2 teachers, one for English and one for math and science This does not create the opportunity for any one teacher to really get to know her students/class and really cater her teaching style to best meet the needs of her class. In reality each teacher has 40 students (20 at a time), and thats 40 different personalities that she has to adjust to on a daily basis. This school is great if you have a child that does not need that much "hand holding" to learn. Otherwise, you risk your child just not getting the attention needed.
Bridgepoint Academy Downtown Campus. They are very UNORGANIZED, staff is nice but they seem to be overwhelmed. Good atmosphere for the kids but academics are light. Not a good school for a child that needs constant challenges or advanced programs. I am already looking for other school options.
My children have been attending Bridgepoint Academy for the past two years. The atmosphere of the school is like a private school. The classroom sizes are small and they offer many family events to encourage a family oriented environment. The teachers and staff care so much for the kids, are professional, and are attentive to their needs. Our children love going to school, they love their teachers and they feel motivated and encouraged. The school offers art, music, Spanish and enrichments after school. I would recommend this charter school to anyone wishing a private environment that is publicly funded.
My children have been attending Bridgepoint Academy for the past two years. I have been so impressed by the staff of the school. They truly know my children by name and are very attentive to their needs. I would recommend this charter school to anyone wishing a private environment that is publicly funded.
My daughter is in Kinder in the downtown campus. She transfered from a private setting . She has had a great year. The atmosphere of the school is the same feel as the private school my other child attends. The parent involvement is very strong. The teachers and staff are very professional. It is exactly what this neighborhood need. A great public option.
I have friends in both the South and Downtown campus and I am looking forward to possibly attending the new East campus in the Fall. Everyone I speak to has only great things to say. Can't wait!
We are very happy with Bridgepoint Academy's Administration and teachers. Our kids have flourished since they started in August 2010. It was a hard adjustment, but the teacher's really help the kids with the change of a new school and the more demanding curriculum. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for great teacher's and small setting.
The kids love going to school, learn so much, and have so mant activities. Parental involvement is highly encouraged. The schools focus is on the quality of the education and care provided. I could not be happier and have recommended many who are all just as happy.
School is very family oriented. Very close knit group. Teachers and staff care so much for the kids. It is priceless! The students learn so much so fast. I love that they are greeted each morning by the same staff at drop off, teachers watch them at pick up, they have art and music weekly, Spanish daily, smart boards in the classrooms, great pta, strong parental participation, enrichments after school, great after care program for working parents, etc....... I can go on and on. The staff and the management are all about what is best for students. Very pleased and impressed.
We have been at the school for two years now and couldn't be happier! Our children love going to school, they love their teachers and they feel motivated and encouraged. Its a safe and loving environment. As a parent I am always encouraged by staff & teachers to get involved and participate in school activities. There are many family events offered through the school year to encourage and foster a family oriented environment. The administration, staff, teachers and management team are very accessible should you have any concerns or questions. Highly recommend!!!
I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE SCHOOL, I RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY ALL THE TIME, MY CHILD ENJOYS GOING TO SCHOOL AND SHE IS LEARNING IN A GREAT ENVIRONMENT
