An 18-year-old girl from southwest Miami-Dade County graduated from high school a few weeks ago, but she just discovered her She spent the past two years taking classes at Il Savior Academy. But when she applied to Miami-Dade College; she discovered her diploma wasn't valid. "I put in a lot of hours and I had to stay extra hours at school just to make up extra classes and it was all for nothing," The college admissions worker told her the school was not accredited. NBC 6 checked with the three organizations that accredit private schools in Florida and the school was not listed with any of the agencies. Valentina's parents said they spent more than $20,000 on her education. "There were times my parents couldn't even pay for it and they had to take out any money that they found," she explained. The school's director Jose Muse, who is also a real estate broker, told NBC 6's Dan Krauth over the phone that he's "working to take care of the situation," but when pressed with questions he hung up. Valentina now is left with two options. She will either have to get her GED or take home-school classes.

While the classes seem smaller; this may benefit the student to a greater extent than any other school. Providing personalized teaching to each individual students can benefits them in the long run. Knowing all your classmates benefits the student best because they can work together and achieve more. The faculty are very proud to teach their favorite subjects and we're very knowledgeable and thorough in their lessons making the learning experience a breeze for the students.

I am glad to have found them. My daughter had a hard time adjusting to public high school environment and she is now doing very well. She loves to go to school and has great teachers that genuinely care give individualized attention to her. They are very warm and helpful in the office and you will feel right at home. I recommend highly recommend Il Savior Academy. Great School!!!

It is a great little school. The low teacher/student ratio leads to lots of one on one instruction. Very safe learning environment.

the school allows children to take hand held video game devices to school and they wont get in trouble. They are also allowed to swear play during classes and not really get in trouble at all.

This school is decent, they should fix up a bit more and it will be good to go.

The school has been remodeled, but needs more freedom like letting our kids grow facial hair and street cloth.

The principal finally remodeled the school, but the parking lot size needs to increase, I parked my car there for a meeting and scratched my car against the fence because of the tight parking. Next, the school needs more freedom like allowing students to grow facial hair if they wish.
