My daughter attended for 3rd grade and did well however the classes are completely mixed with all levels. Her classroom consisted of children who could barely read to kids that were previously in gifted classes. Unfortunately for my child, the teacher spent most of her time on the lower performing students. My daughter complained that she was doing work she had done in 1st grade at her previous school. I really bought into the all the promises the schools administration made to us at the beginning of the school year but they really let me and my child down. As for the after school "care" program through the Boys and girls, yes it is really affordable but there is no "care"! The kids are running around all over with hardly any supervision and on more than one occasion I had a family member go pick her up for the first time ad none of them were ever asked for an ID. Can anyone just walk in there and grab a kid? I pulled my daughter out after she finished 3rd grade and I would never recommend this school to anyone.

School needs to concentrate more on performance rather than all the extra activities. Too many kids flunked their FCAT. Less field trips, more curriculum.

My daughter currently attends Mater Grove in Kinder and we are extremely happy with the results. The teachers and principal are wonderful. They always have an open door, always available when you need them. The staff is very friendly, from the office secretary to the art teacher. Have lots of activities. Cant say enough good things about this school!

this school is beyond my imagination in everything, the parent-teacher communication, the physical activities, the educational level, the principle leadership, the working staff, and everyone that welcomes us with a beautiful smile. My two girls go to MGA. From the first month I noticed the good change in their personalities and learning style. The homework is enough to keep them busy and productive. This school staff members are working towards excellence.

Both my daughters go to this school and I'm so glad they will be together until my eldest is in 8th grade. I love that the principal is at the drop off area every morning opening the doors and greeting each student by their 1st name. She makes everyone feel special and welcomed. Communication between the teachers and parents is wonderful. I love this school.

Excellent principal and excellent teachers!!! The school has very high standards and everyone works hard to achieve them. My nephew loves it here. He even likes it better at MGA than the two years he attended a Montessori school.

About the tests

Florida uses School Grades to measure the overall performance of a school each year on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). Each school is assigned a letter grade (A-F) based on three criteria: the overall performance on the FCAT, the percentage of eligible students who took the test, and whether or not students made progress in reading and math. The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
