The best investment I ever made. The school's curriculum is quite challenging, but as a parent I love watching my daughter challenge herself. It's sad when I hear previous students trash-talk about the school, but that is part of one of the downsides of the school: some of the girls who attend are quite spoiled and believe that the world owes them something. Obviously, however, that is not the school's fault, but rather, the parent's. My daughter graduated three years ago and is now attending a well-known and highly-regarded university. Overall, the school is an excellent choice for parents who wish to see their daughters succeede in a community-orriented environment.

I am a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Academy and I currently go to a top-15 American university. Lourdes had absolutely nothing to do with my success. It's a shame I was smarter than both my teachers and my peers. Most teachers hardly speak proper English, and the students all have heavy accents and are overly concerned with the car they drive. Send your daughter here only if you don't care about diversity or education. Otherwise, send your daughter here if she is individual and intelligent enough to know this is not a good school, and to take nothing from the experience.

Academically it is excellent and rigourous. However, many girls have thrown away their religious principals and have become very materialistic. Too much interest in the car you drive, the house you live , and even the cell phone you have. The blame is not in the school and its staff, but the many parents who 'spoil' these girls. Nonetheless, this is the environment you inherit and the one you as a parent will have to deal with. One more thing, many of the girls that get in are tutored and as a result, are in over their heads with work. This takes away from some of the 'fun' that should go along with high school. If your daughter can't pass the entrance exam on her own merits, then I would consider another school. This may sound harsh, but the frustation may overwhelm her.

Honestly, this school is excellent. I've seen many girls graduate from OLLA and they are just so nice and respectful and they have good values. In school, especially high school, not only should there be taught academics, but also manners, good values, respect, and how to interact socially and Our Lady of Lourdes Academy certainly did this.

Our Lady of Lourdes Academy is one of the premiere schools in Miami Dade County. This all girls school has proven over the years that it's students are some of the best in the nation...a 100% rate of the graduates go on to 4 year colleges or universities...the academic load on it's students is challenging, bringing out the best in the individual student...in sport it competes with the best in the state and have won numerous accolades in the athletic arena...it is without a doubt the best bang for the bucks.

The academic programs at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy are among the best. They have an amazing foreign language department, and music department. They are known for being one of the best schools in sports, and parents are always included in student activities and are always involved. I graduated from Lourdes and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life, I made my long term friends there and the spiritual intake from the school was amazing. The fact that there are no boys gave us the ability to fully focus on school and just be silly among ourselves without worrying about impressing anyone. Highly recommended school for girls.

Our Lady of Lourdes Academy is a very tough school. Over 300 girls apply freshmen year so only the cream-of-the-crop get in, making the academics very high. This school is tough, making each girl strive and work for good grades. This school also prepares you for the real life. They have an oustanding sports and extracurricular programs: both their track team and dbate team are best in the nation.

I think this is a great school particularly because it is girls only. It helps maintain focus.

Lourdes Academy is a great high school for young women to prepare for college and achieve a prestigious career. The four years I attended this high school were the best four years of my life. The friendships I made throughout my high school years will be everlasting, and the teachers were excellent as well. Lourdes Academy offers many activities that encourage the independence of young women, as well as the importance of developing strong female bonds. I highly recommend Our Lady Of Lourdes Academy!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
