I am an alumni of Carrollton. I had attended Carrollton since I was little. In the primary and intermediate grades, the academics were rigorous, but were great! I absolutely loved it! The Jr. HIgh must have been my favorite time. There was a balance of "wise freedom" and independence, but on a supervised level. I believe that the high school lacks discipline. I believe that teachers are being hired only because they only have a bachelor's degree. But, a lot of teachers aren't very good in the high school. Girls are very disrespectful. Coming back and visiting, I see this even more. It is lacking an incredible amount of discipline and respect for others. The administration is influenced by money, money, money $$$. Send your daughters there when they are small, but when you get to high school, head for the hills! You will get a better education for a fraction of the price!

Carrollton is an excellent school that offers a well-rounded education. The atmosphere in which the girls learn in is supportive and loving, creating a sense of family among the students. It does not have a great athletics program, but in recent years the tennis, golf, and cross country teams have one state champion titles so it seems to be improving. The school prepares the girls for college and the "real world" impressively, and most of them thrive greatly after graduating!!!

I go to Carrollton, and my first year was as a freshman. I was nervous because I thought it would be hard to make friends (because alot of the girls had been at Carrollton for a while). Boy, was I wrong. The girls are so nice and welcoming, as are the teachers. Carrollton is absolutely amazing, I actually LOVE to go to school. The academics are great, and there are just so many extracurriculars that is is impossible NOT to find something you like. We also, get free periods, which greatly helps me when it comes to studying and doing homework. The teachers are HILARIOUS and AMAZING AT THEIR JOB. Trust me, this school is absolutely wonderful and I haven't regretted my decision to come here once.

The best when it comes to install conservative and Christian values! My 2 daughters were both lucky enough to attend Carrollton and this experience will stay and positively influence them for the rest of their lives!

This school was devastating to our daughters self-esteem. Truely, the home of mean girls. Parents, particularly alumni, ovely influence the administration so problems are recognized & addressed slowly. We also found the academics weak, particularly math and science.

This school is excellent. compared to some public schools, by 7th grade in Carrollton the Girls are ready for High School in a Public High School. It is an incredicle school with incredible people. Girls are sent off with memories that will last a lifetime. Carrollton offers a wondeful well rounded education and also has a great sports program for all the girls. This is one of the best schools in Miami Dade.

I am an alumna of the Sacred Heart and this little box could not begin to grasp what exactly the school offered me. It offers guidance while encouraging independence. It is also a very competitive environment which is great because it forces each student to try their best. I am not going to lie earlier in age a great deal of homework is assigned and you will find your daughter very stressed at times but it pays off in the end. College is a breeze compared to this school. The teachers are great and it gives the ladies that attend the school a sense of empowerment and self-respect. It is well worth the price not only for the education but for a sophisticated atmosphere which encourages kindness and polity.

this school has taught me to become a woman of the world. I have learned that through my own determination and hard work I will achieve great success and have a strong faith in God. This school has offered me more than just an education, it has offered me many people and memories I will hold close to my heart. The people here really love what they do which creates a great environment for the students which allow for open conversation and a deeper evaluation of certain subjects and ideas. I love Carrollton and it will always have a place in my heart.

We were disappointed with Carrollton in the primary and intermediate grades. Teacher and administrator turnover is high, the academics are mediocre, extracurricular activities are an afterthought, and social isolation is not uncommon. Finally, in my opinion, the lack of diversity at Carrollton has engendered a group think mentality which can be devastating for girls that do not conform to the mold.

Carrollton is an incredibly well rounded education and has been a perfect fit for our daughter. In it's nurturing environment excellence is provided in academics, moral standards, cultural awareness, athletics and extracurricular activities. Fabulous school! As an alumna of the Sacred Heart, I know first hand the value of the school. Children are taught about the value of their relationship with Christ everyday, and in every way possible. They are also taught how to develop that relationship. The five-fold mission of the school is strictly adhered to and the girls cannot help but be wonderful, productive, values-oriented, and loving members of society. The education is top-notch and cannot be beat. The faculty care about each child and the administration is also involved with and cares about each child. My daughter has thrived there. I encourage you to check it out.

I strongly believe the single-sex education that Carrollton offers is outstanding. My daughters have both developed strong study habits and have truly learned to be strong women of conviction.

Spectacular school - any girl who cn get in is very very lucky! Tremendous teachers and staff; very supportive and positive environment. Highly organized and efficient place. Have yet to meet a staff member who was not top of the line. Best school in the county. Awesome afterschool and atheletics.

Very high level of parent involvement. At least for the montessori and primary schools. Academically, I am satisfied. I do think however a little more homework won't do any harm. Teachers are very involved in each child's progress. Great access to cultural education. Very satisfied with the arts and music and physical education department.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
