Absolutely wonderful teachers working under a TERRIBLE administrative team. Decided to place my son in a charter school because of this.

I am very happy to have chosen this school for my daughter. Excellent teacher. Excellent principal and assistant principal. This is an outstanding school as far as academic and discipline. It is a shame that Spanish was removed from electives choices. Other than that I have the best opinion. I'm soooooo! glad that I chose this school for my daughter. Escellent enviroment!!!!

im a student class of 2010-11 this school is fun the teachers are very nice ,and funny and some are mean like all schools have the rules are a little too much and the school doesn't have windows so when when the a/c doesn't work you cant breath unless the teacher brought a fan. the kids are mostly funny if you go with the good children the bad ones are always in trouble and if your new to the school you will get lost but just ask the teachers im in 8th grade and i came in 2010 i got lost for a month or two and all the walls looked the same but you will get use to it
I love Howard D. McMillan Middle School because of its great teachers, its learning environment and its wonderful administration.

Dr. Whyte runs a tight ship here. I am glad he' strict about the uniform policy. Other schools should follow suit. The school is clean and security seems to be on the ball. I have never seen a first day of school go as smoothly as it did at this school. Way to go, Dr. Whyte and staff!

Both my sons started to attend McMillan Middle in the 7th grade. Coming from a small elementary school environment, I was cautious in choosing an appropriate school for my children to go to. When I started to inquire about the different middle schools available to us, I was surprised with the negative feedback and reputation that this school had. Despite this, I chose to find out firsthand about the school, so I met with the Vice Principal and took a tour of the school. It was then, that I found that I had been misled; Mr. White and his staff had actually been doing a great job. This school had everything that I wanted in a school and much more. The school is impeccable and the teachers and supporting staff are caring, helpful, educative and informative to the parents, yet strict about the kids' appearance and mannerisms. I would give this school an A++ and would recommend it with no reservation.

My stepson is autistic and goes to this school. I have only heard good things about it so far. It seems to have activities for ESE students; additionaly, he likes his teachers and going to school in general.

My daughter is in this school and I believe that it is a quite excellent school. But I think it needs a little bit of more extracurricular activities like for example more dress down days and more field trips. It also needs do have less strict rules because when my daughter dosen't have a school colored sweater she can't wear one because she'll probably get a detention.I thank all the teachers for all their assistance and all, also the staff.

The teachers try to help , but the students that attend this school are kids that do not have any parentail guideness at all. The school needs to have sports or more afterschool activities so their minds are occupied and also give thems a goal to do better in class because if they have bad grades they won't be on the team. Also they need parents to be more involved in the school we need to show our kids we care and we want to be apart of there school activities. This school needs all of this and needs to more strict with the kids...

The school is good. You will always have someone who will answer the phone when you call and they are very pleasant. The only problem I have is that some teachers are very hard to reach. You have to call several times before getting a response.

My daughter attended this school for 1 yr, where there she was a C-D student. This is a terrible school, gangs, drugs, smoking in the bathrooms and this is just middle school. I took my daughter out and placed her in another school, she is now a B student, received a scholarship in history and is going to highschool. As for her close friends that stayed behind, 1 failed her grade, the other is in a gang.

I went to this school. When I attended I can honestly say, most of the teachers are excellent. There are some that are just rude. I think some of the rules are dumb and dont make any sence. I think they need to worry about what needs to be done, to help kids be more involved with the school. I have gone back to the school, and I see that things have not changed with the staff in the office. They are extremely rude all the time.
