IMy children are so happy and involve with the school academic program and with extracurricular programs and clubs. Cambridge ProgramTeachers are excellent; they not only teach the subject, but also motivate students to research and expand their knowledge. Field Trips take students to places in which they could reenforce concepts learned in class. The Principal, Assistant Principals and teachers supervise, guide and encorage students to participate in school activities. The comunication between the administration, teachers and parents is great, Definitely, I reccomend this school for having a Cambridge Program, great teacher and excellent leadership.
Well in my opinion this school is good. so far so good from august 22 until today., no problem. The cambrigde program is going so fast, that the kids dont have time to think in other things. but, every PARENT HAS TO SUPERVISED YOUR KID, NO THE TEACHER, ITS YOU!!!! Be next to him/her, Ask , who, who, where, what happens, ????? and you will know EVERYTHING about your child
Being a former student and all i really think the school is not Good place to be, the only thing that made me stay in that school was my friends but that school sucks, not the best.
best school ever. I wish i didn't move. I wish people would stop saying this is a bad school. ever since they changed principal the school has gone nowhere but up. we have so many great events like Turkey bowl( thanksgiving football game) talent shows, band recitals, sporting events almost every week. the assistant principal is a lot of fun, but he still knows the difference between having fun and misbehaving. he also sings happy birthday to students in the cafeteria. great gifted program, and Saturday school(weekend tutoring), also recently added Cambridge program. Education, Excitement, and Involvement. that's what makes this school great. I highly recommend coming here
I am a student at wr and i love it there, some people fight but not every day it is a good school. I do think the students are organized. Alot of kids fail but thats because they choose to do that. I strongly recommend this school.
im a student at wr thomas and i love that school its super fun all those rumors about the fighting everyday is not true. i know alot of people that like fighting but they never fight.when theres a fight thats because they get tempted. so i do recommend this school.
This school has its ups and downs. There are fights that are unnessisary. And students are failing. But I think the students are unorganized. Alot of kids fail but thats because they choose to do that. My daughter went to that school and had no mayor problem. She picks the right friends and is a good listener. There are lots of strict teachers.
This school is a awful school and I would not recommend it to anyone. The school is constructed like a prison. The staff just does not discern how to deal with the children and violence is at an all time high in this school.
I am extremely disappointed in this school. The random acts of violence in this school leave little to be desired. As if middle school and FCAT is not difficult enough. Teachers are rarely in contact with the parents My son will be in private school next year. We are counting the weeks for this school year to be over with.
I do not recommend this school to anybody. The students are rowdy and careless. Possibly with a different principal this school may change.
The school is making great strides. The administration is strong and the attitudes are positive among the staff. The ESE program has improved and the inclusion model is succesful. Our Students love the school. They feel safe and parents are very satisfied with W. R. Thomas. These are the recent finding odf the annual climate survey. We are an A school.
The ese program leaves much to be desired. Teaching is not given at a capable level and the classes are way to big, some have 30 kids!
I HAVE TO SAY THAT I am dissapointed with the kids at WR Thomas, my daughter is a six grader and already I have had several problems with kids; It seems that there is no morals being taught to these kids.
There are some major problems going on in this school. I had to remove my son from this school a month ago due to violence in the school. There are fights daily, many involving the police having to come out to the school. Children who try to defend themselves are treated unfairly. The lack of security poses a major problem in this school and all our schools. Another problem is the number of failing students. Someone brought to my attention that a lot of the teachers at this school are not certified to teach the subjects they are teaching. Therefore with that fact in mind & the high number of failing students, I must ask, is the problem really our children or it is the lack of the qualifications of the teachers? I do not recommend this school to anyone.
Too many student in the classrooms. The school needs to cleaned and painted. I don't understand why there is no supervision by a school security when school is out
