I went to this school and it is horrible. You are better off home schooling your kids.

Despite all the challenges you have students that are talented and optimistic about each day that passes by. They are creative and competitive.

The enhance curriculum which prepares students for college and the world of work is geat for student achievement.
Because based on the struggle that we currently are enduring, the students and staff members are so highly motivated to make a change. We are currently considered a failing school based on the school grade but our students are rearing the change this. Our teachers have been going the extra mile to ensure that the students are not only provided with the needed resources to achieve but also provide students with nurturing and guidance. In short, we are giving students an outlook that will increase their productivity in the future. We are now ensuring that students are enrolled in AP and dual enrollment courses, increased summer internships and hands-on extended curriculum activities. I love the eagerness and drive of my school.

I live in the community and therefore I have a vested interest in the education of the students, they are my neighbors. I see them at the library, at stores, at the parks; I need to know that they are educated and contributing members in the community and to society at large. I need to see them show school spirit by saying "hi" with a smile, showing Norland like behavior, which is exemplary, and wearing school colors on their jackets and uniforms. I love my community, especially the school where I work, I wear my colors daily, I am a die hard Viking with a lot of pride! Go Vikings!

Miami Norland Senior High School appears to be a great school to attend. My peers have great pride in their school. They conduct themselves appropriately. They have great amounts of respect for their teachers and all staff members and fellow classmates. I am proud to be a Viking and walk through the halls of Miami Norland Senior High School with great pride.

I would like to say I attend Miami Norland Sr. High and it is not all that bad. I am pride to say that I graduate from Norland because Norland prepare me for the real world. Norland do have plenty of teachers who actuality teaches, who actually take time out to help the students. Even though we went through three principals, they each help Norland out in their own way. I can honestly say that Norland have changed for the better. We are now on a new adventure, we set sail to a difference place and if you is not ready to see us make it, then I feel sorry for you.

I went to this school for just a week and oh my god some of the students there are bad and are not ready to learn in some of my classes the teaching is poor if you ask for help somettimes they will sometimes help but some of them dont help and say you need extra tutoring after school, its not a friendly place at all where you can make decent friends with, i dont regret leaving the school for such a short time being there
This is sad state affairs for this school to be face with the threat of being closed. My son is a freshman at Norland Sr. High and my son and I attend the freshmen orientation. And of all things that were mention the only thing that I have notices that wasn t up to par is security not enforcing the dress code and safety of the school. I feel what can help Norland succeed in improving the school is first hire security that is not only there to get a check, and really care about the welfare of the kids. It s a shame that you have some students terrorized by kids that only focus is to start trouble. We also need more school police available. I think instead of threating to close the school down. What happen to the alternative schools that basically are for troubled students. Remove them out of public

I love Miami Norland Senior High. I've been here since 9th grade and now I'm a senior. The teachers are great they take their time and help u when you really need it. Sometimes it may seem like they're comming down hard on you but they're just trying to push to do your best.

These young men and women need motivation. There are some excellent teachers at norland but they also fall short in some department. As for security... poor, poor, poor. It takes no extra effort for a child to skip school. I won't even bother to talk about what happened to my child. It still hurts. My child is still at norland only because I know if the attitude is not right it does not make any difference where they go. I'm trying to help with the attitude. It's time for norland and the school board to do something with this failing school. Back to the drawing board.

Many parents may say Norland is a bad school...But it's really not...Not because we are an ''f'' school doesnt mean anything..The teacher are wonderful its just the kids that need to step up and study and try to focus on what they are being taught...Im a student Im going to the 11th grade and I hope I will learn more this year and I can prove Norland isnt a bad school

My daughter is currently attending MNSH and I must admit the education is up to par. I've seen a tremendous difference in her grades. I reccomend Norland to all parents.

I attended Miami Norland and graduated in 2004. I have since completed my bachelors and am currently working on my masters. I have no doubt that Miami Norland laid the foundation for me to continue to be successful in my scholastic career. The faculty and staff are all very caring and despite the school grade, the quality of education is grade A.
norland isnt as bad as everyone claims it to be.When you actually go there and experience it for yourself its a typical highschool. If your child does what he or she has to do,thats all that matters. Education is all i look for in a school. IF norland was to come out of the zone, loose their rediculas uniform policy and get its prioreitys in order I garenty the'll recieve lots of students. Also their acknoledgements would be more higher and parents will veiw the school with more respect.
My daughter attended Norland in 2005-2006 and I thought the teachers and the discipline enforced were the best! Thank you Norland!
