I think this school is fair ,teachers are ok.I have noticed that the students and teachers are arrogant ,stuck up, snotty, and rude. Iam not sure if its the location, bounderies, that most parents work or is a status issue, maybe is that the parents are too busy working to give their kids everything that they forget to teach their kids manners, to be polite and respect others. Mrs Quintero is a great assistant Principal, she seems to cares about the school and the students.I do think that they should have a manners class for parents, teachers and students. In the morning when i am walking in ,in the PE court, the halls, as i drop off my kids, i have said good morning ,hello ,good bye to parents, teachers and students and have no respond.People have no manners in this school. They have clics and bulling is common in this school because of the clics. My daughter wants to go back to her old school, she is not happy here.I would if i could, i dont want my kids growing up around this kind of people.I guess is true what they say 'the more money you have, the less values you possess'.

I am extremely happy with this school. My son is in 8th grade and he loves his school. We have been getting great services from Jane S. Roberts ever since he was admitted there. Principal ,vice-principal, teachers and counselors together created a great educational atmosphere where they all belonged to a family .Vice Principal Ms. Natali is always around making sure that kids are attending the classes . She also makes sure that no outsider stays in the school , without a valid reason. Whenever we approached her for help , she took immediate action and tried to accomodate all our needs. She is always caring and always stops to listen to the students. I am so happy that my son is in good hands and at the same time feel bad that he has to leave the school next year !!

I am now an alumni of Jane S. Roberts K-8 Center. I am currently a Senior in high school. I attended J.S.R since Kindergarten through 8th grade. To this day, I am forever grateful for having the opportunity to attend this school. My teachers were helpful at all times, and always there when I need them most. They wanted to instill a passion for learning and that is exactly what I received from them. I enjoyed all my classes. Yes, the school is limited in electives, but what you learn inside of class, and the memories created are worth more. I have not gone back to visit since 2008, but my J.S.R. still has a special place in my heart. The staff, and faculty were kind and sweet to all. I cannot thank J.S.R. enough for steering me in the right direction. It is definitely an "A" school in my book. All schools have flaws, J.S.R. isn't perfect, but it's strong values in education make it stand out.

The quality of the teachers and the education has deteriorated since a few years back. Teachers have very bad attitudes and this os why the school has lost may students to new schools around.

This school is not that great of a school. The teachers are okay teachers, they teach but not the sufficient. My Child is not an ESE student, she needed a promotion and the school denied to help my child advance and be placed in a better grade. I as a parent consider this a C school.

Dude, this school is awesome! I'm currently in eighth grade and have been attending since kindergarten. The teachers are amazing, as are the principals and assistant principals that we've had. It's not the best middle school, but it kicks butt for a k-8 school. Go jaguars!

My two daughter has been in this school since kinder. Most teachers are excelent educators, and alway challenge the students to do better every day. I am very happy with what my daughters have learned so far in important courses such as Math, science, and Language arts.

I am pleased with this school's performance, when it comes to teacher's and faculty helping with you with your situation. The principal and her assistants are very cooperative, and visible at any time of day. The pick-up and drop-off for the kids have somewhat been resolved. Although it could be hectic sometimes. Overall I pleased with the school. Parents should be more involved with the school, this way they can express their thoughts, and ideas to them. Don't expect if you don't give.

My son was in that school, and let me tell you it was a nightmare, he was from kindergarten through the first half of third grade. I believe tha they should have excellent teachers, but the ones who taught my child ......some of them didn't know how to handle kids, they didn't let the kids to read the books that they wanted....and the principal was a dictator.

Jane S Roberts has excellent teachers. If your child comes to this school they will have a friend in about a week or less. They do not have alot of activities the best activities they have are jump rope for heart, field day, the fcat pep rally, the environmental fair, and the school attendance parties. The security is not so good sometimes. Also be aware that there is a middle school hooked on to the elementary school and there has been alot of problems because of that.I would give education an A and safety a low B.

The administration shows a militant style of leadership. Basically, they feel they know what needs to be accomplished but are missing the big picture. Micro-managers! The intention is to get the school and administration to get high marks so that they can receive popcorn parties and get a passing grade at the board level. Teachers are fantastic however they are unhappy. Not good for the kids. Next year I will pull my children out when the new school is built even though I am not in the new school boundary.

School year 2006/2007 has shown excellant improvement in the pick-up area. We now have one area for drive by pick-ups, and the circular area for the private school buses. I was very impressed with the changes this year, and even more impressed with wakenhut private security service providing security and traffic guidance in the mornings and after noon, and an parking lot for parents was built behind the middle school made of gravel, not to mention that in the mornings there is only one entrance for all the kids to enter the school. My son has mrs. C. Perez, 3rd grade for his teacher and she is dedicated and excellant! We now have the safest, organized, best educational school in the county, thank you ms. Kinsler, teachers thank you, mrs. Cerdo thank you! I rate this school a plus all the way! Parents need to do there part now.

F in organization, especially with afternoon parent pick up. The worst part is that the people at the school office don't't care at all when you make a complaint and try to help with suggestions in how to improve this crazy situation. A in teaching, but again, school needs organization and willingness to work with the parents to improve the kids pick up problem

Posted August 10, 2006

I give it a F in organizing themselves but an B on teaching .I think that they over work the kids way to much homework.. Weekends should be a time for the kids to get a rest not to be doing homework. The teachers should be involved more with the parents. The pick up is crazy & there is never parking in the morning.
—Submitted by a teacher

Posted July 17, 2006

The pickup is a disaster! Too overcrowded, kids everywhere!!! parents everywhere, since there are 2 exits mixed with bus pick-ups and a junior high that overflows on to the elementary. Parent pick-up should be in the circular driveway, not in two different places, this creates a traffic nightmare. The teachers do not seem content with the administration, over all my child did well but he picked up on the stressfull environment created by a very much over crowded school.

School located inside Lakes of the Meadow as small middle school classes. Less students per teacher than other schools.
