Maya Angelou is a great school! The teachers actually teach and are very patient as well as strict when needed. The teachers are easy to contact and they are genuinely concerned about the kids education. My son graduated from Maya and my daughter is in 4th grade there. My 2 youngest will also attend Maya. I give the school 5 stars! KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB POETS!
the principal is horrible but other than that this school has some great teachers. one rotten apple doesn't have rot all the good apples.
the school is good could be better the principal is horrendous she will not reason with you in correct terms but the teachers are great no complaint with them.
My son is 7 and Maya elm helped him in a lot of ways.My son has special needs academically and was treated just like a regular student at the school .The staff is loving and sees no different in each student everybody treated the same.The A.P. is especial conspired for my child well being .I was a mom who needed to have her son get evaluated for and IQ test and they helped me a lot with that ,for years I have been asking for help and he keeped getting tossed around he finally found a home at Maya Angelou so for those parents who just have tried and don't get help I found it with the staff and students.Thank you Maya Angelou Elementary for your time and concern on my son
