Are there any elementary schools in Miami florida that have ADHD programs for a Kindergardner going into 1st.

My son is ADHD and he is faceing getting left back. He is not in a special class and I would like to know if there are any programs out there for children with ADHD.

I am hoping you found the help you need. but as a mom who fought and search to find the help my boys needed it is my mission to inform parents of anything i find that may be helpful. The process to get get help from the school system was long and fustrating for me. I tried many of my own approaches that i researched on my own for my sons. I do believe though a achievement center called Brain balance can provide lots of help. Their founder is Dr. Melillo who has written several books including "Disconnected Kids" check out the website i sure you'll find it helpful.

Being the parent of a high IQ child who not only had ADHD but two additional learning disablities I enrolled my son at Killian Oaks Academy.
His success there was nothing short of amazing. He made continual improvement in academic performance, and was able to transition to a top local private school, graduate with honors and be accepted and attend a top university. The individualized approach to instruction, socialization and mentoring works wonders for most children. 63815

Iam having the same problem my child is in the #rd grade and he has had great teachers but they have 18 other kids and can't help him as much as they might in a smaller class. I need same where to put him where he will get the help he needs. 64718

hello i wanted to know if and how do you determine if a child has adhd or add my child went to a doctor and he talked to him for about 1 mintue and looked at him for 2 and said he has adhd
