Excellent teachers, strong leadership, curriculum is above grade level, high expectations for students behavior, very organized and communicative, open to new ideas, teaches respect for God and life.
My three children have attended ACS. It is a great, affordable school that welcomes all faiths. It offers an excellent academic program, an award-wining fine arts curriculum, as well as athletics. The school's standardized test scores were highest in the state in science and social studies this past year!
Awesome school; My three daughters have been there since Feb 2006. Very strong academic program and very strong parent involvement. Great school. However, is very low on athletic opportunities until 5th grade. Overall, great school and highly recommend.
My grandsons are receiving an excellent academic education plus a great religeous education. It helps them to make good decision in many directions. Thank you for this school system.
I did not have a good experience here. I have always educated my child in private school, and after moving to Middleburg, enrolled my child in Annunciation. I found it to be incredibly rigid, with no real creativity. The rules are stifling, and there is no real respect for the parents...follow their rules or they just take points off of your child's grades. Also, there is not respect for any kind of special needs. I couldn't even get weekly reports for my child who was struggling under the incredible 'systems' and 'procedures' that they use which she was completely unfamiliar with. If your child is average, with great organizational skills, go here, they will do fine, but if your child is gifted, or has ANY special needs, do your child a favor and enroll them anywhere else...public school would be better than this.
My high school freshman was well prepared academically for high school upon leaving Annunciation. The art and music programs have improved greatly over the last few years. Having Spanish available helped my child in the first year of Spanish in high school. The school does not meet public school levels in athletics. The league is comparative to recreation league athletics. For those who have children looking to pursue athletics for college scholarships, Annunciation would not help prepare your child. Parent involvement is a must.
Variety of enrichment classes such as computers, spanish, music, art,. Parents are required to provide 20 hours of volunteer hours per year. The kids are awesome, polite and well mannered.
Very welcoming staff and teachers. The classrooms are well maintained and equipped. Each classroom has a media center which allows the teacher to display multimedia presentations.
