I am very, very pleased with my children's education at FBCS. All three of my children attended and I can honestly say, if you want a solid academic emphasis with a Christian foundation, this school is a wise choice.
My experience at FBCS was disappointing to say the least. My son started the 2009 school year when he was three years old. Within one year of attendance he was scarred. He was belitterred by putting him in a diaper in front of a two year old class in an attempt to discipline. FBCS hides behind the Christian umbrella, when I tried to challenge the curriculum which was the exact replica of the public schools I wad told on several occasions by the preschool director to put my child in another school. The costly tuition couldn't grant my child any individual attention nor going outside the box to challenge my son as he was more advance than the lesson plan outlined for every three and four year olds. It is ashamed that my child received such poor treatment from a Christian school, run by so called Christians.
My children have attending FBCS now for 5 years. The attitude of the staff is amazing and Loving. They are always ready to go the extra mile to help the children.Yes, you will get different experience with different teachers. That is just based on the teacher's personality. Some teachers are more out going than others. I can say they have a great curriculum and the teachers strive to help each child to work to their potential. My kids SAT's score are two levels higher than their grade. As far as the normal high school behavior that someone has mention, not all kids that go to this school come from christian background and their attitude is a refection of their home environment! The Morals and attitude to be a Christ center school is excellent. I would recommend this school to anyone that really cares about their child's education and spiritual growth.
A traditional, Christian preparatory school where the teachers care about your child. My kids attended and have grown into mature, Christian adults because of the school's influence.
Florida Bible Christian School is not just a school my daughter wasn't a number. She started in FBCS in the 8th grade right out of public and what a difference the Christian enviroment made. She was treated like family and the adjustmnet was smooth. She started taking advance placemnet classes and that put her ahead when she graduated from FBCS . She was better prepared than some of the students in college with her. We owe it all to Florida Bible Christian School .Now I live in Gainesville Florida I know of a few students that are going to college at UF and they are former Florida Bible students one of the has the Bill Gates Scolarship. Yes I am very proud of Florida Bible Christian School and the leadership.
Horrible, horrible school..Too expensive for one and not enough leadership skills..Not for me
FBCS is a good school...academically. Most of the teachers seem to care about the students. My concern with the school is that they claim to be nondenominational however my daughter has told me about her teacher talking about her personal beliefs and I don't believe that is appropriate. Also, the food is really bad here...They really need to take another look at what they are feeding the childen...They put a lot of emphasis on academics but not enough on social development of the little ones.
FBCS is a definately a place for all children. Children here pareticipate in athletics, and are well educated. I would recomend FBCS to any parent who is looking for a strong Christian Foundation, great education, and a family oriented school.
The leadership at FBCS is one of a kind. The secondary is doing great things and implementing fantastic ideas. The renovation of the baseball field, the addition of new teachers and the discipline that has come to be is fantastic. I think that FBC has made great strides and will continue to help transform education in Miramar.
The school has 3 divisions which makes the ratings so different. In pre-school it is so strtict that it is sad to see 2 year olds be so limited. They do learn but at a price. In early elementary has wonderful teachers but administration does not deal with behavior problems and by higher elementary, I had to pull my child out because of the teacher's inability to control the students. It was not the teacher per say, the student was reprimanded and sent to the principal regularly but nothing happened. Middle and Highschool has better leadership and discipline is more controlled but difficult to manage because of the elementary feed is not able to perform academically or disciplinary. They are lacking DE classes, AP courses, and sports. Discipline and quality in the high school is good based on what is available. Lack of technology and vision.
