Teachers at Somerset Miramar value communication which is critical in working together for the common goal of helping meet the academic needs of each of my children. They are highly qualified and deliver instruction in ways that help my children learn.
The teachers at Somerset Miramar are very fair in regards to homework. In my opinion, assignments are a clear reflection of what is being taught in class. The school offers a very helpful homework help program led by certified teachers. This has been a life saver for me since I am a working mom.
My children have been attending this school since they were in preschool. They are currently 2nd and 3rd graders. The teachers are nurturing and positive. The curriculum and instruction is rigorous and for these reasons Somerset Miramar is one of the top performing schools in Broward county and the state of Florida.
This School is NOT worth it... MORE Harrassment than anything. All of the staff from Principal to Office Staff to Teachers! (These are suppose to be Adults that these kids are suppose look up to and learn from)
"A High School Scene of staff"!
The sickest situation I have ever been in. This School Feels they have Authority above even parents.(NO)
The Principal position I thought was a "High" position.. Clearly NOT!! This lady likes to argue and act like she is superwoman.. Not even close..
The Kindergardeners are in a clubhouse!
When the kids are being transported ACROSS THE STREET to the Main School.. No control, at all. The teachers believe they have the right to yell at "Our" Children and have an excuse to why it's ok... IT'S NOT OK!!! AT ALL!!! I don't yell at my child, neither will they!!
They teach the kids that looks are the most, even though most of them have a bad image and look sloppy..
I DON'T RECOMMEND A VISIT TO EVEN SEE THIS SCHOOL FOR A CHILD.
IT'S LIKE BOARDING SCHOOL BUT FORTUNATELY, THE KIDS CAN LEAVE AT THE END OF THE DAY!
No Paitence, dishonest, vindictive, woman are spiteful, This school is POOR!! 100%
These People think they can take your rights away cause a child was accepted!
Teachers prefer easy students which means the teacher not only looks like they are performing but they dont have time for kids who pose a challenge. Teachers are overwhelmed there are too many students in class. Office personnel are a bit rude and will not acknowledge you if you stand in front of them untel they are ready, the office is small with parents and students constantly stepping on each other. No room. No wonder office personnel and parents are upset. The school is chaotic . The library is disorganized when it comes to students taking out or returning books. Cafeteria ladies are rude. Horrible school. Do not send your kid here.
This school has 30 students stuffed into one tiny classroom with no help to the teachers. The administration is not helpful at all because they are never there. I would not recommend this school to anyone.
I cant seem to find good schools in Broward, except Somerset Miramar Academy has great reviews and they are A Grade School, 9 out of 10. I recently enrolled my son at this school because we moved from Dade to Broward. its a great school however my son is not doing well, it's frustrating not sure if to transfer him to another school...He had all A's and B' in his previous school..I feel there are two many students per teacher and lack of student discipline. It makes it difficult to students to focus and learn.
Principal and administrative office staff Inaccessible Small, tiny classrooms without bathrooms, therefore Overcrowded In general the school lack in discipline, the students do almost wherever they want The smart kids are not encouraged and the bad kids take over the school
