Cool school but no music or art program. I am a student ,5 th grade its really nice but music is where i used to express myself.

My son and daughter attended this school last year. They came from a private school environment to a public one. I felt like the teacher my daughter had in 4th grade was only concerned about her retirement (with it being within the next year or two) and was only there for the tenure. My daughter has to repeat the 4th grade because I didn't feel like she was ready enough for the 5th grade. She was really left behind. I'm hoping this school year will be a better one or I'll transfer them to another Lake County school even if I have to drive them there and pick them up myself :(

Our family has been very happy with Triangle Elementary. The administration is fantastic! We also have been happy with the teachers, reading specialists, librarian, and all staff. Some very positive, caring individuals work at Triangle. We also found the school to have quite a few activities for the entire family.

We transferred fromTavares Elementary. I realized a new school takes time to get used to. After a year I am quite disappointed. No Art, No Music classes @ Triangle, period. But PE every day-- You have no idea how many nights I have sat and wished I could out of zone my daughter back to Tavares Elementary.. I will be very happy when the state gets rid of the FCAT so the teachers can actually TEACH cirriculum again. I will say I loved our 3rd grade teacher @ Triangle. It was everything else that was just not up to standard.

Academic programs strive to meet the needs of all students. The diversity of student needs appears to alter ebb and flow of instruction. Students have music, pe, and media available for enrichment. Parents, on the whole, are NOT involved yet are highly critical and demanding.

Triangle Elementary is a fairly small school. Everyone I have interacted with have been very helpful and very caring people. The teachers and staff members go way beyond the call of duty. Such wonderful people who really care about the students, and community. I would honestly like to see smaller classroom sizes. The school is under construction. Will be almost a whole new school when done. The new building looks beautiful. My overall opinion of this school is great!

Triangel is a small school that cares about thier students. Great teachers as well as various staff. very clean school. I like the importance they put on teaching or reinforcing values and safty to our children. You know you got a good school and great teacher when my son who in is kindergarden can 't wait to get there never wanting to miss a day of school. The only down side is that my kids want art classes which triangel doesn't offer.

I think the school should have a scheduled art class and all students should have scheduled recess. The kids need avenues to express themselves other than academically and they need the vent of recess to expend some of the energy they have. I think it is great that they have music classes, but I think it would be nice if there were an opportunity to make music lessons available to the older children (4th-5th graders).

Many of the children must walk on the side on the side of a busy road without the benefit of a sidewalk. Also the children know someone isn't whatching and will antagonize each other so much that I have seen a few fights breaking out on thier way home.

About the tests

Florida uses School Grades to measure the overall performance of a school each year on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). Each school is assigned a letter grade (A-F) based on three criteria: the overall performance on the FCAT, the percentage of eligible students who took the test, and whether or not students made progress in reading and math. The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
