I had the opportunity to visit my grandson's class and was very impressed by the effort made to make each student not only welcome but encouraged to learn and stretch their minds.

I am concerned about some of the core values that may be missing from this school. I have witnessed a teacher 'yelling' at students, which builds a 'wall' around the learning process that should remain open. Teachers should use positive reinforcement to create and maintain kind and caring environments for all students. Teachers should not 'talk down' or 'belittle' the children in front of others. Granted, I understand that there is much dissention amongst the teachers and administration w/in this county (due to salary issues), but please leave the negative attitudes and less-than stellar actions out of the classroom. I hope someone can add some positive experiences - so I can gain some sense of comfort for enrolling my child at LPE.

Last year started off very stressful for my daugter, I was confussed as to why this was going on. The Guidance councellor and Principal heard my concerns and stepped in right away to handle the problem. There was some children that needed more attention for discipline and was distracting the others in the class. I became at ease when I saw the support the teacher was recieving from the school. My husband and I are very pleased with the wonderful attentiveness and interest the school staff has to the childrens happiness while getting the best education they can recieve. What could of been a very terrible year full of bad memories for my daughter, had been a very good year full of laughter and great memories as kids should have. Congratulations to this school for the compassion that they show and thier hard work. Parents, please get involved!

I think the teachers are wonderful and the principal is very involved but the school's dicipline and safety is a factor that isn't up to par.
