Both of my children attend Naples Park Elementary and I could not be happier. They have both had very wonderful and positive teachers. I have felt that their teachers have honestly cared about them academically and personally. I communicate frequently with both teachers. This school has many established programs and a very active PTO. I would recommend NPE to any parent.
My son goes to NPE and we love it. The parents are very involved, at least in Kindergarten. The PTO hosts a fun family activity at least once a month and the teachers are wonderful. I grew up in Naples and the NPE staff and parents are much more approachable, than many other schools in naples.
I must say that I am dissapointed in this school. I am not at all impressed with the teacher which my daughter has. Several communications have gone by and not been addressed either via email, phone or home comminication. The staff that I have had to deal with have been unresponsive and less than enthusiastic to say the least. I have attened schools in Naples as has my other children and out of all of them NPES is the worst. I am not the least bit happy with this one.
Our daughter attended Naples Park Elementary for her 4th grade year in 2004. Her first 3 years (k-3rd) she attended Lake Park Elementary. Naples Park elementary lacks the structure and friendly environment that Lake Park has and is known for. I'm extremely disappointed in the level of achievement NPE expects from its students and facility, and what is even more disappointing is the level of parent involvement! The school lacks the synergy to help create and inspire successful students and teachers. Our daughter made straight A's the entire year and although we are very proud of her she was not challenged or even pushed to her potential. Her teacher was very difficult to communicate with and lacked the simple desire to teach. The teacher spent more time teaching students how to take the F-CAT then actually teaching the curriculum. I would not recommend sending your son or daughter to NPE!
Provide music, art, sports, and technology programs, but no language programs. Some excellent teachers, but those who are not excellent remain year after year as well.
I recently visited naples park elementary school in the summer of 2004. I found the staff to be well informed and the course curriculum to be more than competetive with most of the other schools. Naples Park Elementary provided a strong math curriculum and an outstanding language arts program. I found the teachers to be very helpful and the students to be very alert and involved with the lessons at hand. The arts and sports facilities looked appropriate for the age groups involved. The parent involvement was a pleasant experience. The mothers were welcome to be as involed as their schedules would allow. My interaction with the principal was limited but she was very helpful with whatever questions I had. The all around nature of the school was peaceful, encouraging, warm and academically sound. My interaction with the I enjoyed my visit to Naples Park elementary.
