Big Cypress Elementary School

Our daughter started there last year in kindergarten, She was a little bored, she went to a great pre school. The teacher went out of her way to give her work that was a little more advanced, so she could keep learning. This year she is in 1st and I could not be happier with her teacher. She is Fantastic!!(VanDyne) She works with the kids weaknesses and strengths and throws in a lot of love and encouragement. Could not ask for any one better. They always let you know what is going on in the classroom and the school. The principal is an absoulte doll. She really has a way with the kids and the patience of a saint! As far as the office staff? Never had a problem or attitude, always helpful. They protect the children and watch them grow. P.S. Love the new security fencing!

My son just graduated from Kindergarten and it was a great experience all year. Parents are always kept up to date with the students schedule. Great school overall. Looking forward to our other son starting kindergarten in August!

My grandson has went to big cypress since kindergarden & everyone has been nothing but fantastic they have went above & beyond to help with our special problems. I thank them all!!!

All in all, this school seems to be OK. My child started kindergarten this year, so this was a new experience for us. I was very displeased with the office staff. They are unhelpful, and seemingly 'bothered' when one steps in the office. Information is not given, the parent must know how to dig for it. Other than the main office, so far I have nothing to complain about.

This is a great school. My children have gone here from Kindergarden through 5th and I am completely satisfied.
