Manatee Middle is a great school. There is a lot of parent involvement which is wonderful. The Principal, Mrs. Aune is excellent and very involved in the school as well as your child's education. The teachers are very good and doing a great job in teaching. The school has a very friendly environment. We are very happy with this school.

I think the school I go to is great. It provides us very good education. They care about are education and want us to succed to the highest level as much as possible. Well I am very proud of my school and I know after leaving and moving on to High School. Manatee Middle will continue making more improvements and learn from past mistakes. Then I will look back and say 'I was glad that I went to Manatee Middle School.'

The problem that seems to be reoccuring here is not the school. The district is not steering themselves or their schools in the right direction and it is not because of our leaders here in Collier County. Parents, students, and the community need to back what we are trying to provide here; quality educaiton in all subject areas. Manatee Middle School is on the right track. Administrators/ Teachers/ Staff, are not to blame.

Manatee Middle school gave me a good education I spend three years in this school, and it was worth it. I don't care on what other people have to say about this school, is not a bad school, it doesn't have bad teacher, and they teach the same subjects that they teach in other schools. this eight grade year everyone Gratuated and everyone else had a good year.

Problems are the school districts fault, revolving door principals, teachers. Teaching is not like other schools kids are not taught cursive, proper reports or math. Teachers are with children who don't speak english which hurts everyone. Principal Choi compulsively is not true to her word. Staff in good with her are pawns. Shameful! Kids who leave 8th grade are behind in H.S. call the district &they say all schools are the same, false. Gov.Bush should interfere here. You can spot Manatee kids at other schools instantly the one behind. Band,no instruments played. Kids can spend five years there &never once have art. Learning disability kids get verbal abuse more than help. Parents who try are LIED to! Uniforms parents spend $ on colors agreed on Choi chgs. it to white/khaki only. Parents, rotary clubs, etc.who spent $$ on original colors wasted $$ we don't have. Choi could care less, her way or no way.

Manatee has its ups and downs. Hopfully with Choi staying on for an extra year it will help the students. She could be a bit more sensitive to teacher's needs and follow-up on a promise she may make to a parent. Walk the walk.

The administration is some of the worst that I have ever seen in a school in nearly 30 years. I am ashamed of the school.
