I've been a student at LWTHS all 4 years of high school. I was in the first freshman class and will be in the first graduating class in 2010. When I first started high school, I went to Gulf Coast for several weeks before transferring to LWTHS. It was the best decision I've made in all my years of schooling. Gulf Coast was a very crowded and mainstream high school, while LWTHS is small and very progressive. Because the classes are so small, everyone knows each other, including the school staff and students. It's an extremely close-knit and friendly school. The vocational programs are fantastic and makes me wonder why regular high schools don't incorporate them. The only real con is that the administration is often very unorganized, and 'important dates' are more like estimated dates subject to last-minute change. Overall, a very safe and friendly school.

My child loves this school. She said it was the best decision she ever made. Last year she went to BCHS and said the classes were too easy/ no challenge. We looked for an alternative and applied to the medical program at Lorenzo. She loves it, and said the teachers are great; she loves the small class size, and loves the fact she will graduate with college credit, and will be able to work as a certified MA while attending college.

Staff knows every student and works with every one individually. Small school --- no one 'disappears'.
