My son has been at Marlowe since Kindergarten, he is now in the 3rd grade. I have been extremely pleased with the education he is getting. The teacher and staff are very caring. Communication is the key, they have an open door policy and really work with you to meet with you on your time not their's. If your child needs that extra bit of help, they see that the child gets everything they can do for them. They go the extra mile to help everyone. I do know, they could use come more volunteers, but then what school doesn't? They have dances and skating events for ALL the grades, to raise money for the kids and other activities. They Principal knows EVERY childs name and face. She makes a point, to get to know every child there. It reflects the caring of the whole faculty. They are great!
I have been very pleased with my son's education at Marlowe Elementary. Every teacher he has had since Kindergarten (he's now in 5th grade) have been superb. I would recommend Marlowe to any parent considering this school for their child's education. The school grounds are well kept and cared for and the teachers really care for the students. STAR is a great program for 4th and 5th graders to help students express their feelings in a positive way.
I found the teachers to be open to communication, and great at keeping the parents involved in how your child is doing in school.
The quality of the acedemic programs is satisfactory. Some extracurricular activity is offered, however these are primarily after school activities. Parental envolvement is necessary to ensure that your child's educational goals are being addressed. The staff is willing to help where possible, however effort on your part as parent/gaurdian will drastically improve your ability to ensure the end goal: improvement!
My daughter started her very first year of school at Marlowe. She is now a 5th grader and will be going to middle school after this year. Just a short note to say Marlowe is a wonderful school. From the principal on down to the teachers. They are so caring. The kids enjoy art, music and P.E. They also have a program called High Five. It teaches kids how to handle themselves in different situations. How to control anger in a positive way. Bullying in a positive way. They also have school dances and roller skating parties to raise money for the school. After school flag football. I know my daughter and I will miss Marlowe very much. I would recommend this school to any parent.
My daughter has been in James Marlowe Elementary for 2 years. This is a wonderful school with very caring and competent staff.
