Great school. Teachers care about the students and give 100% to assist them with academic and social skills. We are pleased with The Dream Team and all of the extra support given to make RRMS a top notch school!

Taking into consideration the size and the budget given, for a public school, River Ridge is great. I often pondered whether or not to provide our children with a private school education (as I grew up going to a private school). My philosophy seems to be right regarding my decision in placing our children in a public school. Not every child is cut out for public or private school. With our children's personalities, social appetites, and learning abilities, River Ridge is able to provide what they need. In any school, whether private, Christian, public, charter, etc., there will always be great teachers, and not-so-great teachers. The key is tuning in to what your child's needs are and following through. Again, this school has everything our children need. Side note: Principal Jason Joens is a very good principal. I would guess he puts in 60 hour work weeks on a regular basis. He can be seen at every theater production in the audience, in the stands at every football game, basket ball game, and more. He is hands on and that is wonderful. There are several caring teachers as well. Mr. Nason, the drama teacher, is worthy of praise to say the least. The students LOVE drama class!

This school emulates near perfection and promotes greatness in the students. My daughter has not only thrived academically but has also grown socially. This can only be done through strong leadership from the administration and staff. I could not have asked for a greater more positive middle school experience!

My son began attending RRMS as a 6th grader and now is a Jr at RRHS. There have been some horror stories about having to deal with the Guidence dept. Anything they tell you, check out for yourself. They appear to have their own agend. Overall the teachers have been wonderful. Florida has chosen to put the education of it's childen at the loosing end of the state budget. For what the teachers have to go through they are way underpaid - but - if a student shows interest and is a willing student, it is my experience that they are all for the kid.

i am a former student of river ridge, i attend there for 7 years(3 years in the middle school and 4 in the high school). it was a great school the teachers were all great and the faculty deffinittally did a great job at running the school. I was a member of the color guard and and of its events were great..i wouldnt change a thing about it if i could!

My children have attended and graduated from both middle and High. We came from a small Catholic school, so we were overwhelmed with the size. Pasco County has school choice, so I could have sent my children to any of the nearby schools, we chose RRMHS. And I have to say we chose right. Yes River Ridge does have some problems, what school doesn't? But they try! and they do a good job. I would recommend this school.

My Oldest child just graduated from River Ridge High school and my daughter is the 8th grade. My daughter attended Dayspring academy last year for 3 months and that proved to be a disaster. River Ridge is a much better school they don't yell, scream and belittle the children like they do at Dayspring Academy. Her FCAT scores were very good and overall I am pleased with what she is learning.

I am a former student of RRMS, and i was very disappointed with the quality of education and communication. Some people may say that the High school and Middle school are well seperated, but i beg to differ. On average i had to enter the high school side about 5 times per day, along with high schoolers passing through the middle school side to get to busses, which leads to my next point. The buss system at rrmhs was poorly thought. Combining High schoolers and Middle schoolers on a hot bus in the afternoon, isn't the best of ideas. Both at the school and on the bus, there were many fights due to the combination. Finally, the education given was too focused on passing FCAT, and isn't the best of systems. Overall, This school isn't my favorite.

Each school is assigned a letter grade (A-F) based on three criteria: the overall performance on the FCAT, the percentage of eligible students who took the test, and whether or not students made progress in reading and math. The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
