This school is a sheer waste of money. Don't let yourself get sold on the idea that it's an elite elementary Harvard. When you head over for a tour, the principle will just give you the song and dance that it's behoving for your youngsters bright future. Let me enlighten you: It's a glorified daycare; all fluff. My child has not learned more than what she would have, had she attended public elementary school like her elder sibling. Pros: Nice playground, attractive and well-kept building, fun art teacher. Cons: Provided meals lacked nutrition, toddlers with diapers and pacifiers apparently are able to be enrolled now, teachers look miserable, (they're probably not seeing any of that constant increasing tuition we are shelling out; makes you wonder why there's a high turnover rate I witnessed of new staff every few months) All in all, I'm displeased. Heed my warning and find yourself another school in the county. It's all smoke and mirrors here.
European Academy is by far the best early education available in Sarasota County as the curriculum is accelerated and enriched and varied at such a young age. It incorporates the European model by exposing children to many areas of specialty under one roof. The school was once more accelerated than it is today. The communication among parent/teachers on a daily basis is non-existent. I can recommend the school because of its varied and enriched curriculum, but not for its parent/staff relations.
