This school is wonderful I was in the BEAT Program. Its alot of work but it is worth it. They care for your education.
well this i my second year in jfk middle and i think that this is a good school but the problem is that theres alot of bullyn which i think it should stop imediately because i been in these problems before and i think that the principal should do somethn about it.the teachers are wondeful except some can be a pain in the butt but its worth it i have signed up for the application of the B.E.A.T magnet and im lookfn forward to get accpeted for next year. im determined that my teachers will give me the knowledge and skills to go to hih school well prepared.
I think that this school is very good this is my child second year here and shes very excited about it so if your looking for a school try to get your child there i mean they meet new friends my neighbor is the assistant principal
I think that the Magnet Program is the best, not only are you in some really interesting advanced classes, but they have like a ton of cool field trips, especially the end of the year field trips. You feel really priveleged in the magnet program, it can be tough but it's worth it.
I am currently a student in JFK middle, in the 8th grade, and honestly this is probably one of the best middle schools in the state you could possibly go to. The teachers are very friendly and are available to help you if you have any trouble, and the school makes it easy to transition from elementary school into middle school, and eventually to high school. The BEAT program is tough, but it's taught me a lot- giving me skills i need to stay organized in high school, not to mention the courses beyond the grade level that will be interesting for those advanced students. There are some drawbacks- not being able to have PE or choose your own electives. But you get so much more back academically. Also, i've met some amazing friends, and i believe it's made me into a better person.
I was a former student in the JFK magnet program, and currently a freshman in high school. The 3 years I spent in the B.E.A.T program were the best and I am positive if I had not attended that school, I would not be in anyway prepared for high school. The teachers in the B.E.A.T program are the most amazing teachers ever. They take it upon them selves to make sure that every student comprehends the material and they don't give up until the students do. The school it self is wonderful, the staff and administration try to maintain a clean and healthy environment for the students. If you are looking for a great magnet school in the North Miami Beach area, i really recommend this school.
This school is the best ever! the Beat Magnet Program is outstanding and recieved 5 stars from me!
i am currently a 6th grader @ JFK BEAT.idk about you guys but i think this skool is the bomb! the field trips rock. the teachers are amazing and i met alot of new friends here.
This school is an extremely good school. I am currenlty an eighth grader in the BEAT Program who is still attending the school, getting kicked out is if the the student is constanlty fighting and is not keeping up the grade point average which is a 3.0 (which is a 'B'). In the first marking period if you have lower that a 3.0 grade point average you are put on probation. You have 3 probations for the whole year. If you get 3 the student is required to fill out a paper where either all or any recognizing that the student should stay. But if the student keeps their grades up they'll be fine. In 8th is pretty hard beacuase thats when the teachers prepare the student for highschool, but it's fun. You also get to do dissections in 7th & 8th grade. And so are the field trips.
My child started at the school and I think it is great. Just I don't think it is fair that BEAT students can get kicked out if they have a C in any of their electives. There is lots of pressure on the kids. But , my child is making lots of progress and is keeping up his grades and has gained interest in reading.
