McIntosh Area School is a small school devoted to the students and their education. Parental involvement is strongly encouraged. The teachers really care about the students and the small class size creates a great atmosphere for learning.

MAS is a small school where you will find the Faculty and Staff knows the name of each child and the parent(s) of that child. MAS continues to provide service(s) that surpasses the expectation of learning for my children. I have enjoyed the atmosphere and I've found that the Teachers seek many opportunities to teach to help your child excel at learning. I would strongly recommend MAS to communities that extend beyond the local area.

I have made great relationships with the families. As a teacher I get to teach inquiry-based learning and have the freedom to include arts in everyday curriculum. We believe in educating the whole child, head, hands, and heart.

McIntosh Area School is a great charter school that focuses on inquiry based education with innovative ways of teaching. It's teachers are dedicated to molding a well rounded student in education and skills needed to communicate and work in the real world. They have an atmosphere of equality and focuses on each students gifts and quickly identify and assist with each childs struggle. The most important are the teachers because they love and cherish each child like their own and support our kids all the way to success. Love MAS. They make a difference.

It is one of the most hardest schools to get into due to the long wait list. It also has the highest standards in Marion County. They are the first school to have the IB program. You also have to volunteer 20 hours a year
