This is my daughther's 3 rd year at this school. And I must say ever since this new principle has come in the school the staff has been so rude. One time my daughter was late and the lady in the office said comments if my daugther underneath her breathe. They need to direct their comments to the parents. I understand that they have to have strong rules but they are ridiculous. My daugther one time had to go to the gym to get her jacket that she forgot and Got a referral for taking more than 5 minutes. They are so stupid they have nothing better to do. I am also not to happy with some of her teachers. They need to bring back the principle they had before. The school was running a lot better before.

Horizon Academy is now in it's 2nd year of school. The teachers are great, the school is clean, they are uniformed. The principal has done a wonderful job in making sure the students and faculty are all on the same page and everyone knows what is expected. My daughter started this school and in her 2nd eyar here her grades have gotten better, she enjoys school more, likes her teachers. The lines of communication are wonderful. When I can go to twitter and check what homework my child has in her math class or when a test is coming up is wonderful. The teachers go above and beyond.

My daughter is in fifth grade at the school. She is in Mrs. Schultz class and she loves it. The only thing that I am worried about is the middle schoolers. She says that when the bell rings the school goes out of control! I hope you can maybe stop this abruptveness. Otherwise, Horizon Academy definitly desirves 5 stars!

Can I give it half of a star? The school might be a grand new building, and the physical resources inside might be awesome, but this school is severely lacking in the department of administration (namely - the principal). Not to mention, the neighborhood that surrounds this school is atrocious.

As a parent of a 5th and 6th grader I must say I love this school. Both my children are Honor's children and it is thanks to the Great Educator's in the school. I feel a parent cannot blame a school if they are not involved. I give Mr. Cordova the principal an A for his diligence and proffesionalism. He truly cares about the kids and expresses it in his daily actions and contributions. The kids at Horizon love him. He was an asset to Sunrise and will continue to be an asset at Horizon.
