Enriched learning for the children with smart boards in every classroom, computer programs that tailor to each child's reading ability, premium teaching staff that is stable at the school, unbeatable Drama program and support. After care program is fabulous as well as there are other educational programs one can enroll their child in: Dance, Drama, Golf, Spanish and Music. Media Center (aka library) is outstanding, outfitted with a smart board and ample computers ... and not to mention a very smart and kind librarian! My daughter is in 1st grade, she's attended this school for one year now. I chose the school based on the FCAT scores versus other schools in the area, but this school has exceeded my expectations in ways I didn't know it could. Thanks, Thornebrooke! Parent involvment is through the roof with a stellar PTO! There are always social events for the school organized by the PTO. Such a warm, nurturing school that is run by a budgetary genious: Mr. Daniels, the principal.
We moved from another OCPS and it was night and day. Thonebrooke is on top of there education process.
This school is excellent. Great teachers, great kids, great parents. I really have nothing negative to say. Between my four kids, I have been involved with four elementary schools and Thornebrooke is definitely the best -- even better than the private schools in the area!
This is the most fantastic school! I have 3 children. All with different learning styles. All were very accomodated. The Drama/Dance program is unbelievable. The special tutoring for my daughter was much needed. The computer software this school has is hard to match for all children. The PTO and fundraisers allow this school to be top notch. Behind Thornebrooke is a gated neighborhood. There will be nothing more memorable than my walking my kids to/from school throughout their elementary school years.
My son was staffed in the Autism program at Thornebrooke from another zone. The entire staff at this school is amazing. Each teacher has an intimate awareness of the needs of special kids and each person was willing to go out of their way to help whenever needed. This school is so outstanding that we transferred our daughter from our home school (as sibling of an ESE student) so that she could benefit from the excellent teaching and programs. Thornebrooke has given so much to our kids -- we could never say enough good things about this school, the principal Mr. Daniels, and the entire staff. They go 'above and beyond' for the students every single day! We love Thornebrooke!
I have two children at Thornebrooke - this is the best school with the best teachers! I could not be happier!!! Thanks for the great experience!!!
The principal is the 'best', the drama program is fabulous. Great library.
My children love going to school each day at Thornebrooke. They look forward to all academics that Thornebrooke has to offer. Our family feels fortunate to have our kids attending a school such as Thornebrooke which champions our kids to be well rounded from math -> drama->reading->art!!
Thornebrooke is an AWESOME school, the teachers are excellent and the kids are great.
They have worked as hard as they can to make sure my children are successful.
