This is not just a school, it is an extended family. They have supported us in every way...academically, therapeutically and emotionally. We cannot imagine a better place for our child to learn, grow and reach her full potential.
Providence Foundation provides the small classroom setting that my son needs. He has been attending PF for the last 5 years. when he began, he was 3 years behind his grade level, academically. Now, he is working at his grade level in reading! and one year ahead of his grade level in math! We wouldn't have been able to have this success in the public school system. He has friends and enjoys going to school. Thank you Providence!
Check out the financial information before sending your child here. Non profits are required by law to show the books upon your request. Asking for this information before you register your child will spare you from the surprise of requests for sizable donations during the year in order to keep the school open. At least you will be aware so you can make a fully informed decision. When my child attended this school, the school had the ability to attract high quality really exceptional people, but they also had an extremely high turnover ratio both during and at the end of the year each year.
DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL. I agree with the previous comments. They make promises that they can not keep. The tuition is outrageous for what you get. I would expect them to use reading and math programs that will help children with autism whom are mostly visual learners. They say everything is visual and that may be. But from what I can see they like to charge the big bucks but cheap when it comes to spending it on our children. Most of the staff wants to be something that they are not. And one would think that they would have a degree in special education...NOT
My child went to this school. Staff was great and had great learning programs. Owner/director promises wayyyy to much that she certainly cannot deliver. Students were very autistic and had behavior problems. The ages mixed together is a very bad idea. Not recommended. Better programs for a lot less money.
