The Faculty and staff at Rock Lake should be teaching elementary and high school. These teachers transformed the grade, personality, and self-esteem of my three children from non-readers for my kindergardens who spent time at Whispering Oak Elementary in Winter Garden, to readers within one semester. There was no excuse of oh, my class size is too large, or the child is not paying attention as was used at Whispering Oak Elementary. Instead, the teachers demonstrated what true teachers should be. My kindergardens could read after less than one semester here. Not to mention the great job they did with my third grader. Not only did he jump from excuses at Whispering Oaks Elementary, but based on his grade here after one semester, he was projected to get a 5 on the FCAT. Thank God for Rock Lake. They should get an award for the most outstanding school on all levels.
The fact that these young urban children are our leadership for the future brings a sense of pride to my being. The last two years have shown great determination on the part of the students, staff and parents collectively. Having met the challenge by making the grade. Continue moving forward with discipline and desire. Congratulations Rock Lake.
Rock Lake Elementary School, located in an urban neighborhood, tries hard to provide their students with a quality education. The teachers are very dedicated and hard working. They have a great staff and everyone there is always ready to let out a helping hand, if only they could recieve more financial support to help them achieve all that they would like to have happen for the students. It is not an easy school to work at but the staff faces the challenge everyday with a smile on their face.
