Cypress Springs Elementary School

CSES is an excellant school. My 2 older sons attended through 5th grade and now I have a Kindergartener there. This school has always provided the safest school environment and academic excellance is its top prioity. From administrator to teachers to kitchen staff to custodial staff, CS eminates confidence in their students and it shows. My daughter is in good hands.

The teachers and adminsitration are awesome. They care about my daughter, have fun teaching, and make learning exciting! They are involoved in the school activities, and my daughter loves CSE! In fact, when I talk to the high school students who went to CSE even they speak highly of the school.

This year has been trying for me I don't believe they have the best of the best teacher's getting the kids ready for fcat for 3rd grade.

My sons have had wonderful experiences at Cypress Springs. We moved to this neighborhood just for the school and every day we are glad we did. The staff and teachers are genuinely concerned about our children and work very hard to ensure their success in the classroom. With all of the bad things we hear about schools these days, it is so nice to be able to thank and praise the dedicated professionals at CSE.

I am extremely pleased with my daughter's Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Hilgen, she seems to be very involved with each and every child. She is also very informative and keeps all parents updated on recent and upcoming events, and the progress of your child. My daughter has unfortunately been quite sick this year and Mrs. Hilgen has made an effort to keep her up to speed and shown her genuine concern. I would highly recommend Cypress Springs Elementary.

I have had the opportunity to send my two children to Cypress Springs. It is a wonderful school. The teachers are all top notch. They welcome parental involvement and those that are involved are very dedicated. If you have questions or concerns, the staff is always willing to listen and work with you. The Kindergarten team is especially outstanding!

My kids go to Cypress Spring Elementary they have a great staff and they help my soon to achieve the goals he was never able to do before at other school. I am very happy with his teacher Ms. Bonfante and the rest of the staff. their job is dedicated 100% to the kids best school with teachers like that kids have a better chance of being successful. We chose to stay in Cypress Springs in order to keep my child(ren) in this great school. I would like to say that for a Florida school, in a school system that rarely gets recognized, this happens to be one notch above any other school I have been a part of or have had witness to. the leadership truly cares about the community, the children and the parents. I have had zero complaints and nothing but praise for the teachers I have had the pleasure to know. Mrs Hilgen, Mrs Seal, Mrs Labonno, and Mrs Forster are all first rate. It is an honor to know each and to entrust to provide my children the opportunity to learn from. Great job CSES! Keep up the great work!

Consistently an A school, and they continue their well rounded curriculum with music, art, PE, and computers. My daughter is in Kindergarten and has recess everyday. She loves it! I don't like that all the classrooms are trailers and the hallways are open. Anyone could walk of the street and wander the hallways. Each classroom has it's own bathroom and the doors remain locked, so I suppose it's as safe as any school.

Cypress Springs Elementary School is a Great school. My daughter is in 1st grade in Mrs. Smith & Mrs. Whetzel's class ,as a team they both do an outstanding job teaching the kids. I have notice that some parents are driving too fast in the school back parking off to the side of drop off and pick up area this is makes this an unsafe issue. I have talk to the school Office and the PTA on this issue.

I only have one child there, in special ed language pre-k, so I am not sure how qualified I am to judge it. I will say they don't exactly have an open door policy, or at least it does not feel that way. I am always at my other kids schools, but do not really feel welcome at Cypress Springs, and then they seem to wonder why they do not have alot of parental participation. Overall, my child has learned a lot, but the teachers do not seem to want to have good working relationships with the parents.

My 2nd grader has been at CSE since Kindergarden. My biggest complaint is that there are more resources geared toward ESE children, vs those that are in the gifted program. Both sets of children have exceptional needs, yet only one side is being served. All of the resources are going to 'no child left behind' and none to the faster learners to keep them engaged.

My daughter is in 1st grade and so far both her teachers have seemed great. I'm comfortable with my daughters safety at this school which is a biggie for me. The staff has always been more than helpful whenever I've had any question. I think this school is well above average.
