We are a new family here and my children came from a very good private school. I was weary at first but my encounter with the registrar changed everything. She assured me that the scool is a large family and everything will be alright. I was also thrilled to notice that the front desk staff was very welcoming. The school is very focused on the kids and their families. There is always an activity for us to participate in. Whether it is Breakfast fo Dads, or Movie Nights or Evening Reading acvtivities, there are all kinds of occasions to interact with staff and PTA as well as other parents. I like that Mrs. Olsen, my KG teacher is so organized and creative. I am also grateful that Mrs. Wiggins has so much patience and compassion. I absolutely love CSE; and I never thought I would be saying that about a public school but is totally true. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Very nice newer facility. Overall excellent staoff but showing the same signs of burnout and stress most teachers with today's restrictions and limitations all public school teachers are encountering have which is reflected in their students. Unfortunately they must follow the new Common Core standards that severely limit children's education to what will be on the test. There is also no regular recess for all grades forcing many children to spend their entire day in structured activity with no free play and limited opportunities to learn important communication and negotiation lessons children get with unstructured play. The school breakfast/lunch program is the same highly processed, pretty dreadful food that all children in Orange County get.
Cypress Springs Elementary is a pretty good school. Unfortunately the receptionist staff is not very good with the phone usage. Calls are dropped or go unanswered. Staff is constantly unavailable or wont return calls. The teachers are exempt who do a great job contacting parents. The current receptionist staff from 2012 - 2014 is difficult to deal with. Unable to separate personal feelings from their professional behavior. Or, this school needs to fix their phone lines, cant get in contact with the staff our children.
This school is great! It is definitely above average. They keep it neat and clean. The staff is helpful and nice. The kids that go there are nice and caring as well. All the kids get along and they help each other regardless of their age. I like having my daughter in this school because it is an active school that keeps the parents involved in everything. So many activities for the kids and the parents!
CSES is an excellant school. My 2 older sons attended through 5th grade and now I have a Kindergartener there. This school has always provided the safest school environment and academic excellance is its top prioity. From administrator to teachers to kitchen staff to custodial staff, CS eminates confidence in their students and it shows. My daughter is in good hands.
I love CSE because the staff there is amazing! The level of communication, support and involvement is outstanding. They strive to achieve excellence and push the students to do more each day, all in a very loving way.
