I volunteered at a presentation called 'Kids Helping Animals' and the students were well behaved, attentive and very communicative on the Q&A segment of the presentation. It was a pleasure to watch their faces show such interest in humane education.
I have two children that attend Mt. Sinai Jr Academy. There have been some issues, as in any other school. This school year, 2008-2009, is showing great promise. The school is very organized and clean and the teachers as well as the students appear to be newly energized and have a positive outlook. My child was extremely excited after the first day of school and kept exclaiming how it didn't seem like the normal first day of school. If you walk through the halls you will also see first hand how well behaved the students are and see how they are interacting with their teachers in school.
My children are currently attending the school, but I do have some concerns. Whenever family members get together, they noticed the children in the same age group, some are more advanced than others, which makes me question the curriculum in the school system. I'm, however, considering sending my children to another school.
well im an alumni student who use to go there. Grades through 2-8th. Its a God loving school. If your child get in trouble and they didn't do anything but was involved in the situation everyone who was in the situation get's punished and that's what make some parents mad, so that's why i think so parents take their kids out of that school. But from my experienced it's a really great school with God in the teachers and some of the students. cause everyone who goes to Mt. Sinai Jr. Academy aren't a Christian!
