I wanted to offer a note here to give some facts about the middle school. I see a few people have put up notes who seem very angry for some reason. I don't question that the school was not good for their family. I just thought it'd be helpful to post some facts for any prospective families. 1. This is a small school. Everyone knows everyone. Teachers will know your kids by first name and will know their likes/dislikes. 2. They have an edugarden where the kids learn science by running a garden with bunnies and chickens. They plant, evaluate dirt composition, etc. 3. Volunteers are encouraged. 4. They teach in an integrated manner- reading and language arts is taught through social studies. 5. Classes are small. 18- 24. 6. Kids can get PE, Spanish, art, music, environmental science, etc. as electives. 7. They do have after school clubs, before and after care, etc. 8. My child came home and talked about split atoms for about 20 minutes. And he is smart but not one to do that unless he was excited about learning. I can't imagine how they made that exciting but they did!

Now the Administration is having e-mails erased! Obviously there is something to hide or these e-mails wouldn't have been erased!!!

My daughter went here for one year and she was better off not even attending school! She didn't learn anything! The school is awful and the instructors are useless. They show movies during class and don't even have textbooks they can take home. As a parent, sending my daughter here was a decision I really regret.

There are still many people who love this school. They are not the people who move their kids to a different school from year to year looking for perfection. Most people that are happy don't come here to give a review. Usually sites like these are the disgruntled people who've been kicked out or have a bone to pick with administration. As a parent you need to be involved in your children's education. Communicate with their teachers and or principal. This is our 6th year at this school and we are still very happy. We are realistic in our expectations and we are active in our children's education. This is the real world people! Teach your children how to deal now or they will be in for a rude awakening soon enough!

Great Schools has again violated the terms of it own rating process. In publilshing irresponsible, uninformed and irrelevant speculations about the school. It is most curious to see any connection between the comment posted May 19th and reality. Florida's Governor and Legislature cut funding for all schools, including Charter Schools, causing layoffs across the State and District. Private school have been hurt by economic conditions and have lost student population causing layoffs. Bright Futures is pursuing newer facilities for its current student base. Bright Futures is a choice school and one has to choose to come there.. Anyone unhappy with Florida funding cuts might want to join in asking the Legislature to think about restoring funding to our children. Great Schools loses its credbility when it permits these rants. Perhaps this website is becoming a good idea gone amiss, and rename itself instead Great Griips.

I understand that no matter where you go some people are NEVER happy with any situation and you will always have parents who complain. Well, I am not one of those. I find that if you don't like the way something is, then maybe as a parent you should step in and ask if there is anything you can do to help in the areas you are not satisfied in. If you want to make a community/school better, take the initiative to improve what YOU can and I promise, you'll be happier! I would start by changing the negative attitude. Look around at the ones that typically complain, they complain about all areas of their lives. Ever heard the saying, "It takes a community to raise a child?" It's true! This is a fabulous school in all areas! Art, Reading, Math, PE...you name it, my child is exceeding & soaring at this school; absolutely loves it! My oldest child went to private school all through Elementary & Middle and I have to say this is far better than private schooling. You get the same close knit feeling with better academics. Also, I am sure there are going to be some negative comments coming from teachers recently let go. Don't blame the school, the government made the budget cuts!

As a previous teacher at Bright Futures, I can honestly say that the CEO's best interest is not that of the students. Teachers at this school are not certified in their area of interest, there is absolutely no stability in any aspect of this school, and administration is very demeaning to both the students as well as teachers. All a person needs to do s look at the turnover rate of the teachers to realize that something is very, very wrong at this school.

Parents, you dont know how good you have it at BFA!The Grass is NOT greener on the other side!I am so sick of hearing fellow parents compare BFA to local public schools.Take it from one who has been there, it is not all it is cracked up to be.I had my children in a"state of the art"local "A" rated public school in PBG and thought that it was going to be such an amazing experience for them, however,i could have not been more wrong. They did not have any science or social studies, and were barely monitored at lunch in the cafeteria. Talk about PE, Spanish, Art, maybe once every 2 weeks if they were lucky.I have been a parent of BFA for the last few years and feel that it is such an amazing place for my children to excel. Based on the previous negative comment I asked my kids about specials and they LOVE the new PE/spanish teacher, and there are so many art supplies my kids are making dragons currently! As for the Co-Pricipals,their open door policy is just that! What other school could you find that,NOT any other public school! Also,I found that the letter sent home last Thursday was an eye opener! It seems that the CEO is doing everything she can considering a $550,000 budget cut!
