Westlake has provided out daughter with a God-centered, rich education. The curriculum is rigorous, and the staff is nurturing. The school provides technology lessons, daily recess, and library classes, something missing from public schools. The sense of community is outstanding and the leadership is strong. Sending our daughter to WCS is the best decision our family ever made.

We've had our children here for a collective 10 years and have seen impressive improvement each year. The admin keeps up with what it takes to grow a well-rounded, well-educated, person of good character. The MS does have leveled learning for kids at diff stages. It offers competitive robotics, math, science, tech courses along with top notch language arts AND fine arts (music/band/drama/art) without sacrificing recess and sports. Standardized testing is one week each year & teachers don't teach to the test. My spanish/italian daughter is best friends with a middle eastern child-you'll see african americans, greeks, asian, caucasian kids-with economic diff's & some with disabilities. Perhaps last reviewer just saw the uniforms & smiles when they called us homogenous? We are a fun, welcoming community that's serious about raising good citizens. New teachers were added when new classes were added to accommodate more students but teachers came with years of teaching experience, not 1st year. There are also support staff to help those teachers get up to speed without student sacrifice. I double dog dare you to find a more comprehensive elem/ms program but come see for yourself. We got a good thing going!

Want a school that loves, guides & teaches your child? Want teachers, prinicipal, admin & staff to greet you by name with a smile? Want your child to get the best education for their level whatever that level may be? When they say "it takes a village", make sure Westlake is that village. Could not have asked or expected more! Praise God!!

Teacher effectiveness: Strongly disagree

Most of the teachers are first year teachers just learning how to run a classroom and hardly give time to the students.

Westlake is an excellent school! We see great improvement in the school and our children year over year. The teacher and faculty are caring and responsive. The education in challenging but not overwhelming. The enrichment classes are wonderful. My children love the enrichment classes music, band, art, and PE are all fun and exciting.

We are quite pleased with Westlake. The principal of 2+ years is very positive, and the school has several strengths that are hard to find in other area schools. Most notably, the teachers and admins at Westlake really love my child. The value of that emotion can't be measured!

I am a middle school student at Westlake. It used to be such a drag having to go to my old school, but now at WCS I look forward to seeing my friends and people who care about me. The community at Westlake is very strong and caring. You will form life long friendships with fellow students and create bonds with teachers. Westlake has strong academics, athletics, and a friendly community. I don't look forward to is the last day of eighth grade when we must say goodbye.

I was a Westlake for 3 1/2 years and at the start when i came in the middle of 4th grade it was great but as soon as I entered middle school it went down hill. no speretion between advanced and non advanced students, many of the teachers are so boring, almost to small to be a real middle school, no discipline to students, "special treatment" to some students while others at there same level receive none, the whole blue ribbon school thing is just a show they put on, administration is fake and two-faced, overall great elementary school, bad middle school. Trust this review i went to school there, i`m not lying!

Our children have been at WCS for 5 years and they have loved every minute of their experiences. They have had great academic and athletic opportunities -- including some unique activities like Robotics, Concert Band, and plenty of sports. We love Westlake!

This is the best school in the area. Look around people and compare -- it does not get better than Westlake Christian!
