Our daughter has been in the school for years and we couldn't be happier. The school truly prepares children for college at an international level. This school probably has the most advanced academic curricula in the entire State of Florida. If you want your children to be able to compete in the global marketplace, enroll them at the Renaissance School!
If you want your child to be challenged academically, become fluent in multiple languages and learn to think critically, the Renaissance School is the school for you. My daughter has been a student for several years and I'm convinced this school is the model all private schools in America should emulate.
I was very disappointed. Not what I had expected and my child was unhappy there.
We are very pleased with this school. My daughter loves it. I am very impressed with what she has learned in math, science and English. But most importantly, she has learned how to study and manage her time. In addition, she loves her teachers. She is involved in many community activities and has a lot of friends at the school and elsewhere in the community. Plus, she thinks it is fun to speak a language her parents don't know.
My daughter has been at the school for a number of years now. I can't believe we have an incredible school in Panama City. I love the quality of the education, the teachers and the facilities and am amazed at what she has already learned. Most of all, I love it when she proudly tells her friends how much she loves the school!
I'm sorry to say that this school was a huge disappointment. The administration is disorganized. This contributes to a lack of structure on part of scheduling classes, ensuring that teachers are in their classrooms on time to start class and that classrooms are adequately staffed and prepared to handle the needs of the students. The preK classrooms were not set up adequately to foster learning. The floors were cement and without any type of rug or padding. The echo in the classroom was very loud and it smelled like a porta-potty. The size of the preK 4 classroom was too small and ill equipped to handle 17 students. In addition, there was only one teacher at a time hired to handle the 17 four year olds. One of the teachers had never even teached preschool before. (This would not be so bad if she had some help in the classroom). The classrooms are not appropriate for 3 and 4 year olds. There are no interactive toys for experiential and exploration-type learning. In fact the preK3 class has only one toy - a kitchen set. The school collected a lot of money from us throughout the summer and put virtually no investment in the preK program. The preK program is poor and not worth the money.
I love the quality and atmosphere of this school. The administration is great, and the teachers are highly qualified. The administrator works hard to keep both the quality of the school one of excellence and the parents satisfied. This is our first year, and we have not been disappointed. Within a week, my son surpassed me in language learning.
The Panama City Renaissance School has been a great experience for us. It is refreshing to find a school that offers world class academics, foreign languages and a caring environment. We can't imagine sending our child anywhere else.
This private ( = expensive) school is almost all the 17 reviews before me stated. Language oriented, global, geared for the future, and challenging for the students. However, they don't mention that the extracurricular activities are an added after school cost and most students are picked up by 2:30, leaving the child that has parents working until 5, more than ready to leave unlike the parents claiming how there children didn't want to go yet . . .my son loved the language learning but refuses to discuss returning to this school because he felt bullied by one of the older 'resident' students in his 4 child class. I miss what this school offers educationally for my son, but he is much happier socially back at Patronis and in their advanced student program for free. If financially set and your child's age is in a class larger than 6 classmates, no problems!
We are parents of students just enroled this year in the fifth grade. Yes, students, twins !! The level of academic education is excellent and in par with the most advancenced curricula of any school world wide that claim advanced academics. small ratio of student to teacher, 2 additional foreign languages learning experience with fun is one of the many advantages this school have. Children pass through life only once, it is our responsibility to provide them the best. we found our partner who can provide our children the best. In summary, Panama City Renaissence School redefines excellence in academics into the fourth dimension.
