This school teaches practical dress code using street clothes. The skill level and credentials of their teachers are impressive. In the three years I have been involved students continue to have fun learning and do well in the yearly standardized F-Cat test. I have also been impressed with their after school program. It is not just a baby sitting program. It tutors students in need and offers special "high-interest" extra-curricular activities.
I am very impressed with the teachers and principal. They care and work together to give my children an appropriate education. I could not be more satisfied.
A great school is made by Parents that are involved and care as mush about the education of thier children more than the educators themself. Williams is a great school!
My children started school at Williams when it opened in 2007. They love their teachers, who genuinely care about them. Ms. Beal, the principal, is always friendly and goes the extra mile to ensure students are learning and in a safe environment. I have volunteered around the school and I have met many of the staff who are always courteous and professional. I have the highest regard for WIlliams Elementary School and staff.
My children have attended Annie Lucy Williams since it opene in 2007. I cant express how happy I have been with the Staff and with the great education my children has received.
Williams Elementary School is the best!! My daughter has been there since the school opened last year. I cannot believe how much she has learned. The teachers have been wonderful on communication and the staff in the front office is so friendly! The admininistration always seems to keep me informed about what is going on at the school. I would recommend this school to anyone!
My children have been at Williams Elementary since it opened its doors last school year. We could not be happier with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff and the overall appearance and cleanliness of the school. My children are being challenged academically on a daily basis and learn new and exciting things every day. I have always found administration to be very approachable and have always worked with me to get my children what they need. Kudos to the teachers and staff at Williams, it's a great place for my child to learn.
The campus and amenities are wonderful, but the staff leaves A LOT to be desired. It is a one-size-fits-all educational approach...and for our son who easily tested into the gifted program there was nothing done to challenge him. The administration just told us they could give us things to work on with him at home? Isn't that why we sent him to 'professional' educators? We will not be returning next year.
It is a beautiful new school, but a HORRIBLE place if you have a child who loves to learn. Our daughter went to school so excited, and by the end of the first quarter her love of learning was gone. It is a very assembly line teaching style. Lots of textbooks, worksheets, and lectures (even for younger kids). Almost no hands on learning, experimentation (even in science), and way too much busy work. When we met with the administration (on more that 3 occasions) they said simply said that that was 'public school' and it wasn't for everyone. I will not let my child lose their love of learning. We can sit at home and read out of textbooks! I will find another school where they foster actual learning not simply memorization and play to the weakest link.
I have 2 boys enrolled at Williams Elementary and I couldn't be happier with their teachers and the progress they've made. I also feel good about the safety and cleanliness of the school environment.
