I have to say this school is great. I have two children at this school. No complaints. All teachers are great. They use the best strategies they can to help students. Very concern with education. Security in school is excellent. I will definetely recommend this school. Very organized.

We moved from NJ to this school district because of the teachers and staff. The teachers have all been great, always responding to my questions, emails and notes. I have volunteered in the school for the past 4 years and am always pleased to see the interaction of the students with the staff. The teachers here are superb! They really want all of their students to succeed. The PTA is absolutely wonderful - they give back so much to the school. New principal came in last year, along with budget cuts, but school is still wonderful.

I am a grandmother who volunteers one day a week in my grandson's 2nd grade class and I'm so glad I signed up. It's given me a close up view of this wonderful school and my grandson's teacher, Ms. Dewberry, who is absolutely wonderful - we feel very blessed to have Cristian at this school.

This school is beyond amazing. I started this school in K, and I was very upset to leave it when I moved in 5th grade. The teachers always showed an unbelievable amount of kindness to each and every student who's path they crossed. They have many "jobs" at Lakeside such as safety partols, TOTS, green team, and the news crew (WLNN.)Their student council is a neat, organized program, and all of the school's after school events (book fairs, writing on the walls, ext.) bring together family. Each teacher I had taught me important life lessons I will never forget. I would recommend this school to ANYBODY!

I love this school, my son is in kindergarten and my two nephews are in the fourth grade. The teachers are amazing! The customer service in the office area is exceptional. My kids look forward to attending Lakeside. Mrs. Fee's (The Principal) enthusiasm is so refreshing. I would definitely recommend this school.

This school is excellent. I have three kids (K, 3rd and 4th grade) and all their teachers are terrific. They simply make the kids love learning and having fun in the same time and it is great. The admnistration is fantastic. They deliver a happy and safe environment for our kids.

Both my children attend Lakeside Elementary and I am very happy with the school. The principal sets the tone and therefore it is a 'class act' school. They encourage parent participation and have lots of fun extra events for the parents to do with their kids. Example is 'math night', book fair night, reading night, ice cream social, comedy night, writing on the walls, etc. It is a safe, fun, comfortable environment for the students and even though I am very picky (aren't all parents?) I am confident this is the right place for my children! Hats of to the Principal, Teacher, Staff and Volunteers at Lakeside Elementary!

Lakeside is a jewel in the crown of Broward County. Anyone who has a child at Lakeside will tell you how fotunate they are. The teachers at all grade levels are terrific. Mrs. Fee, the principal, always has a warm smile and hug for her students. She exemplies what an educator should be. The aftercare program is first rate. I love this school!

My kids are 2nd & 4th grade at Lakeside. This is there first year attending the school. The dedication the teachers have is outstanding & it's because of the focus the Principal has on the students.

This is a great school, whith an even better future. the fact that they encourage parents participation definitelly improves the outcome! A highly motivated team is their first great asset, added to the quality of the teachers and the community involvement.

Lakeside is a wonderful, happy place to send your kids. The Principal is one of a kind and very involved in all activities. Academically the school could be more challenging, however they do have a gifted/high achiever's class that is excellent. The teacher's are caring and involved.

I love the spirit of this school, they are really motivated and enthusiastic and the kids reflects that in their attitude about learning. My son loves his school and can't wait for the vacations to be over and go back to class!

Lakeside has proved to be a great school for both my daughters. They enjoyed every moment there. The teachers are second to none and the learning environment is superb. Being rated A+ years in a row, speaks for itself.

About the tests

Each school is assigned a letter grade (A-F) based on three criteria: the overall performance on the FCAT, the percentage of eligible students who took the test, and whether or not students made progress in reading and math. The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
