We had a great 2012-2013 school year! My son was in the 3rd grade here last year and he loved it. We had great communication with his teacher and the principle always has a smile on her face! The front office was also a joy to see when I would visit the school. Wish we didn't have to move onto base and get stuck going to Navy Point! We will miss Pleasant Grove so much!

Second incident in less than a month and all the school personnel had to say was "now we have more paperwork to do." Bullying is not tolerated and we have had no alternative but to call the sherriff! No compassion from any of the teachers! He is only a SECOND GRADER being bullied and beat up by a FIFTH GRADER! Not acceptable! School bus driver did nothing but say "we'll have to pull the tape and that can take a few days."

Once again Pleasant Grove's rude Coach Sterns has done it again. He constantly picks on my son. I'm really getting sick in tired of this evil self-centered man. If he's not picking on my son then he's picking on my daughter. That man has one more time to pick on my kids. To be honest I fill he should not even be teaching there. He's either going crazy or just plain losing his mind.

The staff and faculty of Pleasant Grove go far beyond what is required of them to teach and support each and every student. The atmosphere is that of a family, very close and caring of one another. This teaches the students to care for one another and to repsect each other. They instill confidence in each child by supporting and helping them to oversome any difficulties they may have. Overall, Pleasant Grove is a GREAT school and any parent whose child is fortunate enough to attend will be extremely pleased. This school is a parents dream!

PGE is the school every parent dreams their child will go to. These teachers and staff accept these kids as unique individuals & do not try to form or mold into them into one molded type. My boys LOVE their teachers every year & the teachers LOVE them. This school gets A ratings every year, they excel in testing without stressing the kids out. They have a very special way of making sure the kids learn what they need to learn and do great taking the tests and no matter what make sure the kids know they are proud of them. It's just fabulous!! We are moving this fall and I cried at the thought of trying to find another school that can come close to being as great as this school and this staff!! To all the PGE staff & teachers!! BLESS YOU!! You have been a blessing to my boys & my family & we LOVE & appreciate all your efforts & the extra special way you make our kids feel!! Thank You so much!!

I researched this school before moving to the area four years ago. It has exceeded all of my expectations by far. The teachers take such an interest in the students. I love the fall carnival, their enthusiasm towards the FCATs, and the overall atmosphere. When I transfer I will hate to leave this school!

I did a great deal of online research about schools in the city before we moved here. I had heard alot about Helen Caro but not as much about Pleasant Grove- it truly is a hidden gem of a school! I have been a parent volunteer and substitute teacher at the school and I cannot say enough great things about this school. I am beyond pleased with my daughter's experience here. The teachers are held to very high standards by the principal and it shows in the results each year at FCAT time. As a sub who also worked at Helen Caro and Blue Angels, I can attest that Pleasant Grove is a top notch elementary school. Your child will receive a quality education and wonderful experience all around. As others have stated, the art, music and PE program is outstanding as well as the instructional and learning activities. Wonderful School!

Pleasant Grove Elementary is a spectacular school. The teachers are wonderful, compassionate, and give so much of themselves for their students, parents, and co-workers. Teachers are always looking for new ways to teach the content through hands-on activities, projects, and in-depth studies. My child receives music instruction twice a week. The art program and teacher are phenomenal. Coach Stearn and Linebach lead the students in vigorous activities that develop their bodies and minds. The level of parent involvement is like no other school I've seen. The parents contribute their time, talents, money, and support 110% of the time. I am proud to know about the hidden gem, Pleasant Grove.

First impressions are always the best impressions and this school, although small, has made the best of impressions. The staff is so kind and caring and they went out of their way to welcome my children who were displaced by Hurricane Katrina. The teachers are the best and the front office staff went out of their way to get the kids registered and introduced to their new teachers. The school is very clean, colorful, and organized very nicely. My children's teachers are spectacular and very approachable. They were very excited to have my kids in their class and awfully concerned about their well being after being uprooted by the hurricane. I feel my children will learn much and thrive in this type of environment.

Great school, teachers, and staff! It's still a small old time country feeling school with great facilities. This is my daughter's second year and I have no complaints. The school teaches to the 5th grade level. The pta is outstanding and actively involved with the staff. Pleasant grove elementary has been rated as an 'a' school for the last five years, the only one in the county. Great safety program, a picture id is always required when picking up your child early or anytime there's a change from their normal means of transportation. Overall, it's a great school with a great learning environment. Highly recommended.

Each school is assigned a letter grade (A-F) based on three criteria: the overall performance on the FCAT, the percentage of eligible students who took the test, and whether or not students made progress in reading and math. The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
