My children left public schools last year (thank God!) to attend their first private school, Escambia Christian. What a difference! Their grades shot up, after received failing or marginal grades, mostly because I could not get the help they needed academically. Their grades and their confidence suffered tremendously! At Escambia Christian, all my children, even those with IEP's was able to get the academics they needed (now without an IEP!), bringing all their grade averages to A's and B's. Even m son went from having an IEP to being on the Dean's list 2 semesters in a row! My daughter who previously attended Bellview Middle, went from D's and F's, to B's and A's in just her first semester here. Escambia Christian didn't just change my children academically, but emotionally, and spiritually as well ! That is something you could not find in any public school! They're registered for 08-09!

The quality of academic programs is not all that good at this school. There are no music or art classes available except for just singing. No art classes on the masters or the great composers. I am not really sure about the parent involvement because most of the parents work. The thing that concerns me the most is that they do not discipline bullying students and for a Christian school this is unacceptable. The Board of Directors needs to be more watchful over matters at this school.

Great school wonderful teachers, principal, and other staff. Need to have a bus and offer more extracurricular activities for the younger grades other than that this is the best school.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
