I moved here from Florida at the end of the school year with a 2nd grader (my grandson) who was very angry and who could not read. He hated school because of the the experiences he had previously in school. This school was wonderful with both he and his younger sister in Kindergarten they barely had 2 1/2 months left of school but a volunteer started tutoring them in reading and math. By the time school was ready to start the following year in 3rd my grandson was happy to go to school he actually likes school and is learning to read and so is my 1st grader. This school has accomplished in 5 months what KY schools could not in 3 years. The staff and teachers love the students and truly care about their wellbeing and education. I am hating that I am having to move from this school I only hope that I will find the same in our new school but the house we are buying is not in this zone :( sign me sad grandmother
I love Plantation Park Elementary School. Its like a family. The staff really cares about your children.
Great school! We are very happy with all the activities for the students. This year they added a technology special for intermediate grades. We have been very pleased with all the teachers so far.
This school is the best school I have sent my daughters to! The have great teachers, and staff members. The extra curricular activities are good.
Great little school with excellent teachers and staff. School has an great music and art programs. Would tell anyone this school is a great choice form them.
iam in my last year of this school(5th grade)and really loved it the teachers were great but the two things they were lack were extracurricular activities and a good coach
This school provides a very good eductaion for the children enrolled. As a parent, I would recommend the school to anyone.
This school is being over run by parents opinions and involvement in school activities. Stick to basics and keep social and popularity enlightments to a minimum, that for when the kids get older, now is the time to lay the solid base to build themselves from.
Excellent quality of programs including afternoon and Saturday math camp, double dose of math/reading in small groups, one-on-one tutoring for students who need additional assistance in both reading and mathematics. Both a teacher and principal are nominated to be a finalist in Best of Broward. Music program is unbelievable with many invites to places such as universal studio, community programs, etc. Art teacher and students have won many awards including an invite to share their work in the KCWright main administrative building. Golf is taught to selected students by a professional volunteer. Last year, 2004, the Volunteer of the Year in Broward was won by a parent, Lynn Drumings.
This school scores an A+ when it comes to caring from the teachers and staff. The teachers really do care about the well being of the students. Both my kids are reassignments and I have not regretted for a moment even though it takes us about 30 minutes to drive there each morning it is truly worth it. They have great programs for the kids, Chorus, Elocution contest, Carnival, and on and on are only some of the great ways in which the students grow and learn. The mixed culture is also an A+ so students can learn from a tender age that we are all children of God even though we may sound and look different. Plantation Park Elementary also has a great PTA this school is the best.
