They do not. Even if you say something to principal it's never taken care of. Kids bully each other daily. My eldest was bullied so badly he dosent want to step foot on mle property and starts to panic and he left there 3 years ago but my other 2 are still there. Also, even though they do very little to help, if a child defends itself after being hit, slapped, punched then that child gets suspended for defending self. They can take their supposed anti bullying policy they always tout about and shove it where the sun don't shine!!!
There is alot allot of bullying in this school even though it's supposed to be anti bullying policy in place. They do not adhere to it. I am not the only parent who's children have issues with this either!!
I wish I could give it 0 stars! Do not send your children here. Ever. Their communication sucks, they do not properly supervise children, the front office staff is more worried about gossiping than doing their job or even looking up to acknowledge a parent. The newest principal is a joke and has already been on news for putting his hands on a child. That school has had 3 principals in a matter of 2 years. I suggest that all the administration and office staff be fired and start fresh with new, professional, experienced staff. This school is a risk to your child's safety. Their lack of attention span is going to cause a child to be either lost or harmed. Certain policies that should be in place for safety reasons are not there. The only upside to this school are a couple of amazing teachers that really give it their all and love the kids. And that's only a handful of them
My daughter has been attending mirror lake elementary school since kindergarten and she is now in 2nd grade. She has shown improvement each year in spelling, reading and writing, along with math. Mrs Veliz, the principal and Ms Rosa the vice principal are amazing, always involved and really show they care with their proactive approach to the students and parents.
The Principal, teachers and staff truly care about having the students learn while enjoying school. It makes a huge difference to know that my child is in good hands. I love the fun activities the school had this year and cannot wait to see what else is to come.
My grandson has attended Mirror Lakes since K-3. Nicely kept secret of our neighborhood. New principal this past year had implemented various new activities, and focused much of her time on the children's safety. Under the direction of the Art teacher, the school performed a full musical (Aladin) and will working on Lion King next year.
